The only way to know God is to believe the gospel of grace which is the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. All the old testament was pointing toward this great event of the coming Messiah and Saviour of the whole world. Romans 10 give you your required response to be saved from your sin and eternal condemnation. God bless you friend.

@@onlymyself7225 So you and the Muslims only believe there is one God. Christians believe in only one God as well. Jesus is our Lord and he is the same as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. One God who is found in 3 Persons. If you don't believe in a Trinity, then you don't believe Jesus is God and you are not saved. Jesus prayed to His Father and Promised another Helper, the Holy Spirit. They are one God.

He said [Gen 11:6 KJV] 6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people [is] one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. And they are working on the Spiritual Tower of Babel today Example, Pres. Biden said, "There's nothing we can't do together"! What do you give a rich man who has everything? Love. Give the Lord your 1st love, He gets lonely too and He NEEDS your love, are you going to be part of the bride of Christ?

@@SimpleLifeAlways81You know why? Because its an acknowledgement of the fact that Jehovah is the Only God. All places where name Jehovah is switched, its put as "God", "Lord" with capital G and L to emphesis who its talking about, all other lowercase g gods are refering to false graven images. So i would argue its a way of honouring the real God by refering to Him as "God" as if a way to tell Hes the only one.

Book of Jasher 9: 25-28 And the building of the tower was unto them a transgression and a sin, and they began to build it, and whilst they were building against the Lord God of heaven, they imagined in their hearts to war against him and to ascend into heaven. And all these people and all the families divided themselves in three parts; the first said We will ascend into heaven and fight against him; the second said, We will ascend to heaven and place our own gods there and serve them; and the third part said, We will ascend to heaven and smite him with bows and spears; and God knew all their works and all their evil thoughts, and he saw the city and the tower which they were building. And when they were building, they built themselves a great city and a very high and strong tower; and on account of its height, the mortar and bricks did not reach the builders in their ascent to it, until those who went up had completed a full year, and after that, they reached the builders and gave them the mortar and the bricks; thus was it done daily. And behold, these ascended and others descended the whole day; and if a brick should fall from their hands and get broken, they would all weep over it and say, "Woe is us! When will another one come in its stead?" And if a man fell and died, none of them would look at him. 9:38: And as to the tower which the sons of men built, the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up one third part thereof, and a fire also descended from heaven and burned another third, and the other third is left to this day, and it is of that part which was aloft, and its circumference is a three days' walk.

@@bpljlbcomplete false information. The flood historically would’ve happened over 50,000 years ago. Since the aborigines have stories of the flood from around 50,000 years ago. Whereas the Tower of Babel is a metaphorical description of the fall of the Akkadian empire around 5000 maybe 6000 years ago or less. The fall of Akkadia lead to the creation of Babylon where the first Hebrew’s would be born to worship god.

I've been witnessing the glory of God through the exploration that Joel is sharing with the world. I find his new book When God Came Down so full of important findings proving that the Bible is certainly for REAL, not that I ever doubted. Joel keep this journey going forward and bring us more enlightments to our hearts, souls, and minds and give us the strength to understand that this research is for the good of mankind. I cant wait until your next book comes out, in the meantime I will watch all your videos and thanks for your latest about Babel. I wish I was there with you in this search, I'm a wannabe archeologist I love the Holy Land so much and knowing that the footsteps of my Jesus can be made real makes me so happy. Keep us informed and updated Joel thanks. SJB

Joel, just got your book 2 days ago. Awesome! Your boots-on-the-ground approach where you actually visit the Biblical sites, and thru virtual and physical evidence present how each site appeared back in its heyday! Gives me an even appreciation of The Bible and how each site lent itself to the tapestry that is Biblical History. Makes God Even More Real!

I doubt it... reaching to the heavens is more than 300ft. The original tower would most likely indeed be higher than the hills and even to the cloud base of precipitation. It's more likely to be gone altogether, and never be found at all...

Again I had a question to ask: "What did they use to fire the brick?" I was given a reply from the producer, on the side, "let's talk...". Huh!? Talk about what? It was just a simple question he could readily answer. My invite to respond was removed, but not by me. I guess that was my answer! So I figured it out myself. The bricks were fired from another location and transported on sight via the nearby river, like the Pyramid blocks. That's why all of the locals took the bricks away because they could not have replicated them themselves, like the stone work that was removed from the Pyramids. Many Thanks

I lived there for a few months in 2003/4 (military). It was powerful being in Nebuchadnezzar's palace where Daniel and so many others walked (though rebuilt throughout the years). You could see statues of lions atop men, the ruins of the jail that would have held people before they went to the lion's den, etc. There're also three mounds in the city. The local "guides" suggested one was the place of the tower. Considering language and different beliefs, it was difficult to get a clear picture. Doesn't look like the mounds have any connection though. Glad you were able to remain safe in your travels there.

So glad you made this video. I was blessed to visit Ur in 2005 when I was on a two-person inspection team visiting (at the time) Tallil Air Base and the unit we were inspecting just happened to have a field trip to the site planned for the next day. Needless to say we made time in our schedule. I've got a few non-digital photos taken from my time there, but this video was great to show my wife, in a biblical context, what it was like to be there. I can remember that every where you walked there were countless shards of pottery. We also got to enter what we were told was the tomb of King Shulgi and view areas purported by our Iraqi guide to be the sites of Abram's house and an ancient museum.
