I think a lot African Americans over romanticize the idea of Africa . It has its good and bad obviously . But i will rather spend a vacation in Zanzibar than in France as a black person. Also you need to be ready to immerse yourself in the culture and be open rather than trying to view things through an American lens as has been the case with many AA''s i have come across . Another thing is to choose the right country for you . !0 years ago i said i wanted to travel to most places black people are and i have successfully being to most of the Caribbean , Europe and America and you will be shock we all have a lot of similarities and we definitely have the same oppressor.
