Oh nice I stumbled across your channel I’m not a hunter I’m a drone enthusiast. I fly FPV freestyle drones mostly 5 inch. You should always have a checklist I’m sure you already do but you need to add one more thing to it make sure everything is mounted and securely mounted on your drone before takeoff Spare no expense when it comes to losing your drone. They also have much better insurance you have to pay for it. Thirdly they have spectrum analyzer‘s that you can get for an OK price to scan the areas for potential RF problems you can also adjust your channel for better reception. I am not familiar with expensive DJI drones. I do know that there is equipment out there that can assist you in these type of situations. I would also suggest a directional antenna set up. A ground receiver combined with two antennas one being a Omni directional antenna. For good coverage. The second A high gain directional antenna. That will give you the extra range in the direction you want to go and penetration for mountains and trees. Well not so much mountains but you can dip the other side slightly. Just some suggestions do your research you’ll find tons of information. As I stated earlier I don’t know exactly how to combine these elements with DJI I’m sure they are capable. Ps Invest in some good waterproof hunting boots!! You and your boys are going to need them especially if you’re going on these recoveries.

That drone recovery is awesome but. I have military aircraft flying overhead daily. I had listed my home with a realtor that brought a drone to record an aerial view. When the drone got up to about 150-200' his screen went all red. The warning said Drone # what ever you are in restricted air space disend immediately per 🇺🇸. I'm guessing id not be able to use a drone here. 👍🏻🦌🇺🇸

M30 will kill lights when recording... it's a difficult setting to find.

We have found that even if u go into cam settings and enable lighting when recording... that sometimes (many times)... a software update will reset ot back to default. We have 3 m30t in use for fire service. We have to check that setting daily as part of our shift checklist. Failing to confirm that setting can result in vital mission time for us. Overall the m30 is a great bird... I just wish dji would embrace field.op feedback more for their software fixes.

I get so tired of hearing about hunters losing deer, I have never lost a deer because I make sure I have a good lethal shot! It seems hunters back East don't know how to do that or know how to properly track a wounded animal! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 What you are doing is illegal where I live because people misuse their drones to not locate wounded animals, but to locate animals to kill! I don't think this should be legal, because what's to say that when you spot another buck that isn't hurt, that the hunter won't go shoot that buck or tell his friends where it is! We all know there are some unethical hunters out there that will use drones to actually hunt! I feel that you should have to have a Game Warden with you when you do this! I am going to petition Fish, Wildlife and Parks Departments in every state to make this illegal!
