Awesome drone, Why can't DJI make just the one Mavic 3 Enterprise that can have the thermal camera as a "Modular" unit?, if only the camera could be modular so you could switch between different camera's depending on the situation, I would love to have the Thermal version just for fun 😁.

I recently purchased a Mavic 3T - mainly for doing Thermal Work. However, when using it, I was a little shocked to see that all the functions on the Mavic 3 are not available on the Mavic 3T - No Raw, No Mastershots, No POI tracking etc. Sure, you may say, why would you need these on a thermal camera, but why not let the user decide. During inspections, you still need to use the camera, so why not RAW at least.

Question? On the one hand you touch, maybe a little more in other videos, how the Magic 3T can help someone get into more commercial and search/rescue work with this drone. But on the other hand you comment on how affordable these drones are. (Affordable being relative) So with the cost being maybe more reachable for smaller companies and municipalities does that close the door more for an individual to get into the business? As someone who bought the Mavic 3 and is waiting for the Mavic E Thermal to be delivered, I just want to say that I think DJI needs to get its Marketing department whipped because this is getting outrageous. DJI is a company thats been getting away with lieing to its customers for years over drone flight/battery life and we've been letting them get away for it for years. I myself would be interested in a class action lawsuit for all DJI owners over the false claims of the DJI battery life and fight/hover time. This is a multimillion dollar company capable of R&D on an impressive scale and they still bold face lie to all buyers and commercials expos about its flight/hover battery life, they do not even show video or proof of their claims in ANY WAY. I myself think this has gone too far, they've reached a point where there consistency in this deception deserves punishment and we the consumers deserve compensation for the marketing lie they continue to flagship with every drone they make/sell. Otherwise DJI is a wonderful tech company, but this lie after lie about flight time/hover has been pushed to far, we are too lenient on it, they must be legally punished for there continued abuse of consumer protections

Can the thermal feature on this drone be used to survey populations of very small primates (howler and cappuchin monkeys) that live in tropical rainforest canopy? I understand it may be best to do this just before sunrise. Thanks in advance

When you use the 1X to 4X "Zoom" function, you are not utilizing the 7X zoom camera (optical lens at 7X), instead, you are using the Main camera from 1X to 4X and this explains why looks noisy. DJI needs to work with that adjustments. I see that before in past beta firmware 642 648 from Mavic 3. In other words, you are not using the Zoom camera until you select 7X optical zoom and over 8X plus will be Digital zoom.

We currently are using the Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual (thermal capabilities) and I was told to look at 2 additional drones for our department. Even at $2,000 more for the Mavic 3T than we paid for our Enterprise Dual, we have had such good performance with it, this is a no brainer for me. I'm still not sure what platform the 3rd will be, but it will not be any less because I am looking more a payload for it. Thanks for the update Russ

Great review Russ, I got an oddball question though. I do a lot of droning over Agricultural land which during blooming time brings lots of bee’s 🐝. I find about 50% of the time the bee’s will trigger the obstacle sensors. Would you think this M3T would be practical in Agriculture? Also anyone else who drones in the AG industry feel free to chime in. Thanks.

Was considering one for my work over the regular mavic 3. we do bridge inspection a bit, but more surveys for bridge replacement projects. My issue was photogrammetry doesn't have the precision or ability to cut through vegetation we would want for our hydraulic studies. I thought for this price its still worth getting and maybe we will find more use out of it. but then I see the basic combo for the 3E is $3810, not $3300 like several youtubers have said. And at $3810 thats only ONE battery. So 2 extra batteries, and the charger you're looking at over $4500 now. So I think we are just going with the regular mavic 3 just for the great camera for imagery. Maybe a M300 with the L1 in the future for surveying (and yes I now its like $28k for that, but was hoping to kill 2 birds with one stone with the 3E just don't think it can happen with the photogrammetry precision for our usage).

Dji has brain damage if they think they can make 5 version of the same drone and call it a day, the thermal vision may be interesting to use, but the dji enterprise is literally the same drone as the mavic 3 .

Like the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine, the Mavic 3 Enterprise has a Hasselblad 4/3-inch CMOS 20MP wide camera, and 1/2-inch CMOS 12MP Tele camera. But, the aircraft's imaging capabilities are tweaked to optimise it for surveying. For instance, it is the only Mavic 3 aircraft to have mechanical and electronic shutters: The others only have electronic. The addition of the mechanical shutter ensures no jelly effect under high-speed movement, which is essential for a reliable surveying drone. The Mavic 3 Enterprise also benefits from a shutter speed of 0.7s, compared to the Mavic 3's 2.5s. This shorter shooting interval, coupled with the M3E's 45 minute flight time (or 42 minutes with RTK Module), makes it a highly-efficient surveying solution. For instance, with a GSD of 5cm, the orthophoto efficiency of the Mavic 3E can reach 2.25 square kilometres in a single flight. Its Intelligent Low-Light Mode also offers significantly improved performance in dim conditions. Unlike the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine, the Mavic 3 Enterprise can carry accessories, such as a loud speaker. Although it's fair to say that the most important accessory for the Mavic 3E is its RTK module which supports TimeSync for GCP-free, centimeter-level surveying.

hi hi kind of disappointed that you didn't note the specs of the m2ea and m3t thermal cameras and differences if any. To use the M3T as an industrial analytical tool it really needs to be an upgrade in terms of temperature data capture. So I'm hoping to see advanced radiometry and great pixel sensitivity. I'd really appreciate if you could supply that info. ps I use the m2ez and m300 + H20T in my job conducting search and rescue and beach patrols providing shark detection and swimmer safety. I've just been informed that the Mavic 3 enterprise range will be replacing the m2ez at some point so I'm very impressed to see that the m3e has most of the pilot 2 functionality, in particular the wind speed and direction reading has been very useful at the beach with the m300 and on the smaller drone with less wind resistance it will be even more critical to pilot to ensure we stay within sop parameters. thanks for the info and from Australia take it easy.

I got a dilemma. I’m starting up a small drone company. Looking at the competition in my area many deliveries service like mapping as the mavic3 e is a great drone for. I also want too do that but there is very few that can offer thermal services. Any tips for me here. Should I offer a service not many other companies do or should I go for the m3e and go for more mapping and roof inspection. What about the customer that wants a roof inspection, a mapping of a new construction but also want too se if there are any thermal issues on some roofs or other things. Another thing that very few dose in my area is giving the farmer a helping hand finding smal dear kids hiding in the fields the day the farmer is going out with their mower cutting down the harvest. The m3t isn’t as good in mapping. But is it so that it can’t be used to mapping and inspecting things. Hope for a helpful answer Thank you for a lot of good videos.

Does anyone know how to reduce or disable the constant warning beep for the anti collision sensors when the light is too low for them to function? It’s a real pain listening to constant beeping when you’re trying to be more alert flying because you’re already made aware that they don’t operate in low light conditions (two visual prompts are given on the RCPro screen).
