Yeah Ed definitely got a little shafted this season. Not only is light scaling worse (and he relies on those quite a bit) but with Drive Reversal and by extension wake up Drive Rev being -6, he can't punish them heavily since he doesn't have a 6 frame medium. He has to default to, you guessed it, the now nerfed lights. Probably the best thing for Ed this season is not losing meter gain on level 2, which is doing a lot of heavy lifting for him strength wise, especially with the new route Momochi is doing. But they will probably come for that as they have with most level 2s that allow you to build meter after.

I honestly hope they keep the lvl 2 meter build. Maybe tone it down a bit but it makes going for the difficult routes worth it.

I wish they would fix Psycho Knuckle to somewhat function like the EX version in SFV. I cannot find a real use for it currently. Like a perfect charged OD version from a hard knockdown to force an opponent wake up choice would be great.

Also the parry changes helped Ed. It allows you to punish parries way more during your mix ups. Ed didnt get the best season but he could have had worse tbh

I think Ed is legitimately the hardest character on the roster to play right now. He’s very lab intensive to get high value and he unintuitive to play when starting out. No overhead and a playstyle based around out boxing and whiff punishing. And he arguably got nerfed in the season 2 patch. I get why Sajam was struggling, Ed’s not really a character you can just pick up and play effectively.

The best thing about sajam is that, he’s a really great player, but also not pro level. Making a lot of gameplan very doable without dumping thousands of hour to learn and copy from. AND I happen to main Rashid

Please stop saying they over buffed gief... He went from like bottom 1 to mid tier. I don't want a repeat of SFV where he was a decent character for 1 damn season and just got absolutely abused in every patch after words. Hes fine how he is now, he still has a lot of weaknesses built into his kit, his defense is still crummy, he still really susceptible to drive impact, his hit confirms are still really expensive. Let him be an okay character he doesn't have to be the worst in the game for the next 7 years of this games lifespan. I don't have any other character in the game I like, the odds of my favorite characters being added are nearly zero. I'm incredibly unhappy with the state of big body grapplers in every modern fighting. I'm on the verge of straight up quitting fighters as a whole they depress me. Let fucking big body grapplers have something please for the love of god let me have some fucking fun.
