It’s honestly impressive how little separation our receivers get on a consistent basis.

Great breakdown. On the interception, it looks like the CB on Omari has his hips fully turned so I would think Omari shouldn't slow down but cut hard and sprint inside before the CB can flip his hips back. Instead, Omari breaks down before cutting, giving the CB time to turn and cover the move.

The most painful loss I’ve ever experienced as a fan of any team that I root for.

I was at the Minnesota game in 1999. So much worse. It led to three straight losses from a team that was expected to win out. It also led to a losing season and the beginning of the dark times at Penn state until 2005, with only a decent year in 2002. JoePa was nearly fired and everyone thought we would never come back to prominence.

me too. the Minnesota loss, probably #2

QB1’s mechanics have been a recurring problem his entire career, which is why he swing from dropping dimes to air mailing passes. Warren was open on the route where you say Allen quit; ball was underthrown by about ten to fifteen yards. That said, there isn’t a wide receiver on this team that would crack the Top 5 at OSU.
@alextsai72663 сағат бұрын
fair but those r fairly easy fixes and show just how good he can be with just some focused workouts

@@alextsai7266 "Fairly easy" - I've watched enough Hackenberg and Clifford to realize it's not easy.

Ah. The exact post-mortem I’ve been waiting for.

Coach what upsets me most is they don’t allow Hagans to be interviewed. He needs to be held accountable. He needs to answer to why that WR room is crap. Outside of the USC game Flemming did nothing. Cephas was a bust. Where the hell was Saunders all season? After watching ur content I’m disgusted. Between Allar reverting to his back leg throws and the lack of WR effort it’s a wonder we were even in this game
@antwha552637 минут бұрын
ultimately, the CEO must accept the blame. The horrible record that JF has in the big games projects upon the whole team. Beau took the pressure off Allar, allowing allar to stay calm and perform better.
@seanthomson55782 сағат бұрын
The biggest problem all season offensively was the lack of an effective WR corps. Wallace, Evans, Clifford, and Fleming lacked the ability to consistently come up with the big plays needed to beat top tier competition. All of them disappeared in losses to Ohio State and Notre Dame.
@kufta033 сағат бұрын
I'm outta answers. Franklin takes the blame but that wasn't on him. I'm at the point where we could have Tom Brady and somehow we'd fuck it up.
@KJdatdude772 сағат бұрын
Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Patrick Mahomes whoever you want isn't competing passes in this non existent windows. The wide outs are bad......really bad.

Another great breakdown. This many players missing on little details is a cursing issue.

Joel Klatt analyzed the interception and blamed the receiver He said Allar put the ball in the correct spot but the receiver showed no aggresivness to head deep backing the defender up and made a bad lazy cut across the middle and was beaten to the spot by the defender.
@richardbrown3061Сағат бұрын
I don’t care what anyone says, if you don’t have a coaching staff on the same page 100% of the time whether it’s practice or game day this is usually the results. The running game was killing Notre Dame and you take the ball out of Allen & Singleton’s hands and rely on a 2 star QB in my opinion. Beau Pribula should have been the starter until Allar could prove otherwise.
@david-yh7yrСағат бұрын
The pressure of big games gets to Allar. And I don't think he'll improve next year. Hackenberg 2.0.
@AmericanRevanchismСағат бұрын
And despite all this, we probably win if Cam Miller doesn't trip on his back pedal.
@KJdatdude772 сағат бұрын
A dominate run game wasted by the usual suspects *wide receivers* and a qb who was off all night. Are these wide receivers not talented enough? I just don't get how a bunch of high end 3 and 4 star recruits can be THIS bad constantly not just in big games but against everyone it feels like. The tape is hard to watch because it doesn't matter whos playing qb we aren't beating any of the big dogs in the sport with wide outs like this.
@Calabrin132 минут бұрын
People keep saying Drew was “off”. Not sure where this narrative is coming from, but it has no basis in reality. Drew was exactly as efficient as he has been every every tough team. Poor throwing mechanics, no ability to respond to pressure, and struggling to complete 50% of his pass attempts.
@williambishop4508Сағат бұрын
The big question is how do we fix it going into next year?
@dpw1402 сағат бұрын
Thought the o-line was absurdly good in pass protection all night.

I’ve suspected this for a while, so I’m gonna say it: Kaytron Allen’s cardiovascular conditioning is lacking. I thought there were several times during the season where you could see him absolutely gassed after he would break off a decent run, and I think you see the telltale signs of it on the play where he decided he just wasn’t going to execute his assignment. He was wiped out, and he basically said, “Fuck this, I need a break.” Kaytron played the best football of his entire life over the last 5 games, but he needs to improve his conditioning this off-season. He needs to be on the treadmill everyday, and he needs to stay away from Berkey.
@alextsai72663 сағат бұрын
although it was a rough day for allar i think all of his mistakes were just a result of bad mechanics which r easy fixes this offseason
@leefelix77702 сағат бұрын
No Tyler Warren and maybe no Singlton and Allen for this team next season.

😮 this is the same mechanics from last year. He regressed the last 3 games. Too much girlfriend nonsense

Or too much NFL draft hype nonsense taking the attention of a 20 year old.

So you are saying our WRs are trash and no one on team can catch? Who would of known! Enlightening 😆
@RSeaker59 минут бұрын
Multiple issues... Poor 3rd down conversions in big games. Poor at stopping 3rd and long. Inaccurate corner end zone fades. Ill-timed gimmickry. LBs that can't shed blockers and stuff the run. Little misdirection or counter running. Few screens, wheel routes, and quick slants. QB not hitting receivers in stride. Zero to no QB draws and end around keepers. WRs not knowing how or when to make sharp cuts.

It was there for PSU to take control of the game and to get the win, too many mistakes. Not happy with Cam Miller playing as much as he did, you can't fall down like he did resulting in a 54-yard tying TD.

It's really quite simple, get rid of Big Game James Franklin, and actually get a qb that isn't all hype and can actually play.
@bamapsu690653 минут бұрын
Yeah get rid of the coach that had plan and had put the players in a position to succeed. The players did not do their part, not a Franklin issue.
@nathanstrickland650843 минут бұрын
@bamapsu6906 Absolutely right, get rid of him! He's 1/15 against top five teams in over a decade. He's more than proven he can't get the job done. His recruiting classes are dropping off year after year cause nobody wants to play for a looser!
@bamapsu690638 минут бұрын
@ LOL take your meds and enjoy the evening. Franklin is far from a loser but you are entitled to your low IQ opinion. It’s meaningless but have at it.
