This time I took a quick trip into southern Saskatchewan on the search for abandoned locations, ghost towns and to take in some of the beautiful scenery. There is so many places to explore that I just scratched the surface and can't wait to go back in the near future. I hope you enjoyed and take care everyone!

My ancestors from Norway helped establish Robsart back in 1912. They worked for the railway and bought land to farm around the town. One of them is resting in the local cemetary. Thanks for sharing the history and taking the time to document whats left!

Thanks for sharing! That is nice to hear from someone that has a connection to the area. It was a great stop looking around the town.

I've got a real problem with your videos....... They're NOT LONG ENOUGH. Fascinating stuff, but I wanna see more !!! All the best from the UK.
@ExploringwithWade Жыл бұрын
Haha I try and do what I can. There will always be a mix of longer and shorter. it really just depends on the locations that I find. I can drive all day sometimes and get very little footage and not all can make a longer video. Thanks and have a great day!

I love your videos. Just wish they were longer.

Zero wind and dead silent out there. Really cool place. Wonder what the vibe is at night out there? Probably perfect :) I'm surprised they haven't used that location for a movie. Awesome vid Wade!

It was a cool place to drive into that morning. If you like few people and dead silence it would be a great place to live haha. Thanks!

Fantastic! Being an old prairie boy from Sask I remember our dad taking us out to abandon towns just to look around and NEVER take anything, so sad that these towns and villages sit lonely , as if they are waiting for people to come back and make a go of it!

super cool! cant believe this is all still standing.

Whoa this is wild to see. I grew up on a farm about 7 miles south of Robsart. When I was a kid (late 90s) my Dad used to play guitar in the hall and we would sleep under the tables as people danced and hung out. As teenagers it was common to explore the hospital late at night and freak each other out. It used to be surprisingly intact and had a few bed frames upstairs, but it has pretty much collapsed inside now. Some of the houses have been untouched since the 70's and 80's and still have clothes, books, paintings, and kitchen stuff still sitting in the cupboards. Vidora on the contrast is completely gone with only a single concrete structure still standing which used to be a vault. Great video Wade! This was cool to see as a local who grew up in the area.

Awesome thanks for sharing your connection to the town. It was a great stop and a bit of a surprise to see how much abandoned was still left there. Thanks again and have a nice day!

Saskatchewan has these abandoned houses everywhere. Drive four to eight miles in any direction and there will be an abandoned home or Business. They are everywhere!

The fog made it spooky,cant believe a few people still live there

Yea it gave it a great atmosphere arriving to such a quiet mostly abandoned place in the fog.

This is a view of a town covered in fog! While watching this video, I felt like a movie set. Although the building was abandoned, the scenery of Saskatchewan, Canada was very beautiful. But there is a cat living here? And when I saw the pictures, I could see that it used to be a nice town.
@dupreemottley7320 Жыл бұрын
Remember 15 people are there, so the cat probably has multiple homes
@ExploringwithWade Жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a great walk around this town in the fog. Surprised to see so much still standing. There are a few people still living close by so the cat probably just wanders around. It was healthy.

As always Wade, great cinematography! You conveyed that eerie uneasy feeling exploring the empty streets and town of Robsart on a foggy day👌. Perfect shots and atmosphere that could be used in a Hollywood production I reckon👍. So many abandoned places in such gorgeous locations, it almost felt like a dream sequence. Loved it❤❤!

Lots of abandoned places on this video. Nice looking old Bridge. Some of the old cars look like they are still in good shape for the year of them.

A town with a bright future, that gave me a twinge of sadness to see it now abandoned and left to fall into ruins after such a hopeful and optimistic slogan. I’m wondering about the cat, is he abandoned as well?
@dupreemottley7320 Жыл бұрын
Probably belongs to one of the 15 people who live there. It looks healthy

@@dupreemottley7320 oh good I was worried about the cat. I must have missed the part about people living there. I’ll go back and rewatch the video. 🤩👍

@ExploringwithWade Жыл бұрын
Yes there seems to be hundreds of these towns just like it that once had a bright future and now they no longer exist or barely hanging on. There are a couple lived in homes that I saw in the town over on some other streets so no he probably just wanders around. Was the friendliest cat ever. Probably used to strangers like me wandering in to look around haha.

Well done as always! So many abandonned buildings and a really cool looking bridge. In the video you said there's still 15 residents. I assume they live just outside of the ghost town.
@ExploringwithWade Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The last census that I saw online in 2021 said 15 residents but it sure seemed like a lot less than that. I only saw 2 houses that are being lived in.

This is what happens when you have a province with a smaller population then most major city’s in Canada.
@ExploringwithWade Жыл бұрын
So many of these rural communities populations have dwindled over the years especially in the prairies. People going off to the bigger centers and cities.
@HudsoniteJessie Жыл бұрын
Who owns those properties now? A lot of the time, corporate farms will buy land and let the buildings crumble.
@ExploringwithWade Жыл бұрын
Not totally sure I am assuming most would still be owned by someone in the family even if no one is still left in the area but hard to say.
