Wonder if the towns owner would sell me a house. I’d live there still. It’s perfect for singles guys working in camp but still need a place to lay their head when off of work😂

As more and more time passes, the less sense it makes to continue maintaining the town. Even now, it could never be brought back to a state of usefullness without sinking a huge investment of cash and renovations into the place. There already is a lot of hidden deterioration going on.

Wow, I grew up in my teens in this unforgettable era, back to the Future, Saturday Night Fever, ET, Poltergeist, and many other great movies of that time seeing the library, gym, and basketball brings so many memories, not to mention the lighting post cube as someone mentioned in the parking lot, I miss the 80s best times ever...

Eerie and surreal. Especially since the electricity never got turned off. Almost post-apocalyptic.

Lol. I'd totally believe that. I grew up a stones throw away in a company town that was burned down for fire practice after the residents left. It bothers me because I can't even drive by my old house. It requires a 3 hour boat ride and permission from Alcan (Rio Tinto) We had 250 - 300 people max depending on the time of year. I'd love to go and live in a place like Kitsault. Just looks, feels, and smells like home.

This is definitely the work of cannibal lesbians. That's why you get scared when they give you that look. They want to scissor and eat you. Once your head is detached your tongue is free moving out of your mouth. Mystery solved

What an interesting and memory-provoking story! When I was a child, I recall occasional references to "bomb shelters" and "fallout shelters" in school here in the States. The fear of a nuclear war was very real at that time. Such a lofty and well-intentioned project this was envisioned to be, but concepts don't always mesh well with realities. Thanks for sharing this video about "The Vault."

Hi Wade . Interesting site , and a lovely wee hike up. Surprised to see you've had snow already... 🤔 Maybe that's normal for Alberta ? I'm on 55 degrees N latitude , and it's been super mild here for the last couple of weeks. ( Gulf Stream influence) . Anyway, thanks for sharing bud. 👍🍀

Hi Wade. Well, the kids have found it and left their marks. I was just thinking, if you needed to go hide because of strife or war or ARMAGEDDON, this might be the best spot, No?? All you'd need is a blast door at the front of the cave !! Now everyone is going to know of that cave system !!
