I just saw this and I am about to put my home and land up for sale. It is right between Blueridge and Blairsville Ga. I think you would love this homestead that I have been working on for 5 years

@@ahomesteadjourney your welcome! No, I live in central Texas. A Texas native. My husband was military and we were stationed at Bragg, live in nc for over a decade. We are into sports cars which we would take to the tail of the dragon in the Appalachian mountain. Every year we would go for certain car events and go camping out by Fontana dam.

I live in Caswell County NC and it’s pretty rural county but the county just got loads of fiber ran everywhere.

Thanks for the feedback! We actually were just checking out some land not too far from there, near Surry County and Rockingham County. There's so much beautiful land everywhere and have been surprised by the hills/topography. We'll keep Caswell County in mind. Thanks!! : )

*come to "Lowland, NC"* we're right on the Pamlico sound & I've got 200 acres that was left to me. I'd _gladly_ sell a few, just because I'm about to do the same! You'd absolutely LOVE it down here. (it's called *lowland* for a reason, however)

Blairsville here, poking around to find fellow gardener's/homesteaders. 1st garden this past summer and I watered only a few times to get my starts acclimated. Friends in Greenville too!

Let me know if you have any questions! We jumped from Tampa and haven't looked back. We did vicinity research on foothills all the way to VA and just felt so called to land inbetween the ridges. Sometimes the lack of "comforts" is more comfortable.

The mountains from Georgia all the way up to Virginia are just wonderful. I'm glad to know that you have enjoyed your move from Tampa to Blairsville. We visited south Florida during our trip and it was so busy with so many tourists and other crazy things!! I agree about the lack of comforts being more comfortable at times. Happy Spring!

Thank you so much for the well wishes! Are you still considering other areas now? Hope all has been well! As for Asheville, it wasn't much of a good experience. We weren't treated well and the hospitality was poor, along with general values and morality. Safety was also a visible concern throughout the area.

@@ahomesteadjourney my parents are still here and are 90 and 88. I can’t go anywhere for the time being. My preference would be somewhere along the blue ridge mountains, probably north Georgia. But I also want to go somewhere that aligns with my politics and right now that isn’t looking good, lol. I am glad you got to see your mum before you headed north!
