A foraging geologist, whats not to like. Nice one, takes me way back.

Really like it when you explain what minerals and rocks you are seeing! It's fascintating and informative! 5:26 I have a football sized basalt thunder egg filled with that material, it has that outcrop on the side too. Right in the middle is a dark smoky quartz! 13:55 I wanna crush some of that dirty quartz looking for gold! Have you ever found any? Great Hike. Cheers!

Thanks!! I haven't found any visible gold yet, maybe one day I'll find a nice specimen!! I have a few places in mind where it could be possible but it really is quite rare to find here in BC🙂

Another nice trip my friend! Thanks for taking us along. I love how you don't just go for the big stuff like a lot of rockhounds. So much beauty in the little things you find. Takes a special kind of awareness to hunt like you do. Keep it up!

Thanks!! I hope someday I'll come across a nice deposit!! For now I'm happy finding all this little stuff, just a little indicator like the ones I found in the video could lead to a big find so you really have to look at all the signs😁

I enjoyed riding along with you on your site finding trip. The quarry may not have had the crystals you were searching for, but it certainly was beautiful ❤️. Enjoy your mushrooms!

Thanks!! The mushrooms were very good, not enough for a meal but still a good snack😁

I like your videos kid. They're quite informative. You know more than you should. Keep up the good work!

Thanks!! The good thing about making these videos is that they help me see where I need to focus my research. Many times I've caught myself making mistakes and when I'm trying put out useful information it keeps me motivated to learn even more😅

You guys just have the best mineralization out there! That huge cliff wall was neat. Really surprising that there is no gems at all i that stuff. But you found dinner! It was great to see you smile at the end of yours filming. And molybdenite! How great is that? Great video and its been great to see you in the discord! We have quite a few canadians in there! Thank you for sharing!
@NWRockExplorer2 жыл бұрын
Thanks!! I believe sphene and molybdenite are somewhat rare so it definitely wasn't a loss of a day. Every trip is one step closer to a big find so even if I don't find anything of interest I always come back with more knowledge of the area than I had before🙂

It's good that you are a skilled boulder hopper, it allows you to enter into some amazing places. Perhaps the frogs are there to provide you with pointers. 😄 The molybdenite crystals are a very cool find! Thank you for taking along on your fantastic adventures in prospecting!

Thanks!! Molybdenite is not something I come across too often and never in large amounts, the specimen I collected in this vid is a perfect addition to my collection!! Can't wait to get back out exploring again soon!!😁

I was looking at some of that same rock type today and pulling some garnets with nice potential. I was out for the last of the morels. Mushrooms and gems, great minds think alike.

Thanks!! Someday I'll have to make some identification videos to help explain how I Identify my stones!! I would probably need some better equipment to show the rocks better but I think it would be quite fun and even a great way for me to learn!!😁
