to hell with her bullshit words anyway, she's a very delusional woman still living in denial, seems to me she just keeps living in a story that she created in her mind to somehow justify all of her bullshit, i dont feel like she had aged gracefully and there seems to be very little joy in her life to this day, she is only left to feed her narcissism being sorrounded by people who are even more delusional in clinical terms so she can maybe feel little bit better about herself. Her life was obviously about the stage and spotlight but once the curtain fell down she had to deal with a reality that was very different from her own psychological reality and she seems to have never recovered from it. That's why it is important for human beings to have enough perspective on our lives to know what will truly matter to us and what is just temporary and meaningless.

Sheela's false statements: 1. Sheela denied “admitting attempted murder.” In fact, Sheela pled guilty to the attempted murder of Osho’s personal physician. Sheela also pled guilty in a Swiss court of “criminal acts preparatory to the commission of murder” in relation to a plot to kill US federal prosecutor Charles Turner in 1985. 2. Sheela denied committing immigration fraud but admitted to bringing Osho into the United States. In fact, Sheela pled guilty to immigration fraud in connection with many marriages. 3. Sheela denied wiretapping, claiming that she had bugged Osho’s room with his consent for his security. In fact, Sheela pled guilty to a massive wiretapping scheme including all public telephones on the ranch as well as many telephones used by Ranch residents. 4. Sheela denied “poisoning a town.” In fact, Sheela pled guilty to poisoning salad bars and restaurants in the Dalles Oregon preparatory to executing a plan to poison the town water supply on election day. 5. In response to a long question, Sheela stated “I have not committed a crime, okay.” In fact, in addition to the crimes discussed above Sheela pled guilty to the poisoning and assault of two Wasco County public officials, burglary and arson of public offices. 6. In response to a question about Osho’s comments about her, Sheela stated “He was doing drugs that make you depressed (and cause) schizophrenia.” (!!!)

I think the idea is not to fall in love with a Guru or their teachings, it's about realizing one's true freedom and become love itself. A lot of people get stuck with teachings and Gurus and never go beyond it. I have read a number of Gurus, such as Ramana Maharshi, Sri Aurobindo, Tagore, Vivekananda, Kabir and even modern Gurus like Sadhguru, Osho and scriptures like Gita, Ashtavakra Gita, Yoga Vashisht, Vigyan Bhairav and so on. But after reading all this I understood that one has to be free of everything, including these teachings and need for a Guru, in order to see or rather be the truth of life. Once you are aware of your conditioning, you begin to see things in their true form. P.s. - All this is just my findings. You are free to investigate into it.

Sheela was too committed to him, and I highly doubt she would risk committing crimes if she knew it would get her beloved master in trouble. I think when those attempts failed, he pinned it on her and she herself was too brainwashed and had become loyal to not refute his accusations, because that is the kind of power he had over his followers. How sly of him, when Laxmi couldn't get him any more money he got rid of her and used sheela as a replacement.. And when sheela couldn't give him diamonds and other nonsense he replaced her too... Her arrogance was nothing but her defense for him, just like we all defend the people we love.. She was used and discarded by greedy Osho

"A Buddha is always bound to be misunderstood. If a Buddha is not misunderstood then he is not a Buddha at all. Why is it so? - because the Buddha lives in a state which is beyond mind, and we live in minds. To translate something from the beyond to the mind is the most impossible thing in the world. It can′t be done, although every Buddha has tried to do it. That too is inevitable; no Buddha can avoid it." -Osho

There is a scene in the end where she tells I think a person who suffers from demensia that her parents are dead. That is wrong in nursing and shows a lack of empathy. I never knew who she was before that documentary and I disliked her and had signs showing that she has absolutely no empathy which is scary.

Damn !! Osho is a great revolutionary master. At 70s he had such a revolutionary vision. It has been more than a decade he left his body and his vision seems more realistic and contemporary now. His discourse recorded 60 years ago still so relevant and scientific. A man beyond his time.

The start of the documentary set the foundation, saying, “It was all so long ago. Why should it have a bearing in your life now or in the future?” Listen. We are very forgiving people here in Oregon. We understand that sometimes people who do horrible things in their youth may change (not everyone, but some do). So we’d love to know that you changed. We are ready for that. But here’s the deal in that, Sheela. The *first* sign that a person has changed is that they simply say they are sorry. Can’t you just say that to little tiny Antelope, Oregon? I mean, can’t you have some empathy and understand how it was for all of you to swoop into their town and try to take over? How would you feel if it was your town? I mean, there were PLENTY of ghost towns in Oregon that were looking for buyers -beautiful areas in the same vicinity as Antelope- all lovely abandoned western towns. And then there was the salad bar in The Dalles. That was the first case of bio-terrorism on American soil. You poisoned hundreds and hundreds of townspeople with Salmonella, all the county commissioners, too - all because you wanted to keep people from voting. That was some pretty awful voter fraud, especially when you convinced all those homeless people to come to the commune so they could vote as you wanted. A number had mental issues and you made it worse by keeping them blindfolded and serving them beer laced with sedatives. Then you abandoned them. I’m sorry, but it’s just so selfish. I guess it’s better than your original plan to poison the drinking water and crash an airplane with bombs on it into the county courthouse. Still. 😣 I understand why you were so desperate for votes. You needed permits to expand the operation and build roads and buildings. Again, if only you’d selected a town with no residents where you didn’t have anyone to object, you’d have had everything you wanted without hurting anyone. I won’t list everything that happened. You already know. But can’t you just give an apology for that time? Why is it so hard to take responsibility? You’re acting like a victim but you were not a victim. You hurt people and I’m glad you no longer do that. I’m glad you began helping elderly people. But your past will remain until you reckon with it.

The only thing Sheela's defensive answers prove is GUILT. She is pissed that people are asking her questions about her crimes? Really? What does she expect people to ask her about? Her favourite meal? The woman is a master manipulator by the way she guilt trips whoever asks her about her past , into thinking there is something wrong with them for asking. Delusional and in denial. I guess she could not survive if she faced up to her crimes to herself. Narcissists never take responsibility for their actions.

“People who don’t commit crime, don’t escape like that”. I wonder how does this statement hold when Osho himself was trying to flee the US in his private jet before getting arrested, or when he accepted the deal to left the US and avoid imprisonment, or earlier when he left India for the US in silence. His ideas may be out of the league but apparently he was just a fragile, afraid, materialistic person, who was not free from human emotions. He was not ‘bhagwan’, but a man looking for pleasure.
