I looked down to the first mention of Tien! Can we talk about how the only 2 children mentioned being much smaller than their age is Elhokar's child "Gavaliar 2" and Tien, khaladin's lil brother. You could argue that he is a child to be raised by Odium. I argue this child is going to die early. Those who want revenge die early or die an early death, but this infant doesn't have enough history, or time story wise, to realise that. My bet is G2 is going to be murdered as a child, and that will set off both Davilar and Navani hitting the next stages of oaths.

I like your theory! I agree that Gavinor is going to be Odium's Champion, but my own theory after that is a different. I think Dalinar is going to swear an Oath about bringing people together, and then take on Gavinor's Connection to Odium as Odium's Champion, and then is going to give his Connection in turn to Taln. Taln, sane of mind, will kill Dalinar But in that moment, not unlike Taravangian, Dalinar will Ascend. However, due to the original agreement, Honor will lose. But so will Odium. Dalinar will then release his role as Honor, allowing Kaladin (aka the Son of Tanavast) to take his place, while he becomes Odium's servant - an odient one, but one with his own agency as well, due to being so Invested with Honor's power. This will anger Taravangian to the point where he does something to break the world, and as a final act of spite, destroys the Highstorms, which will be the Night of Sorrows. Book 6 & 7 will be about restoring the Highstorms to Roshar, and the final three books will be an exodus off-world.

Duuuude the theory of szeth killing Gav to end arc 1 makes so much fucking sense. Just goosebumps throughout this entire video. I was never entirely convinced on little Gav being Odium's champion but your reasoning convinced me. Knowing Brandon though, we have no clue what's going to happen :)

Here's my Foreshadowing: (WARNING: MAY CONTAIN MAJOR COSMERE SPOILERS) "Unite Them!" These are the key words that we get right at the start of Stormlight, and repeated many times - and they've changed meaning several times throughout the series. Dalinar starts off thinking that it's about uniting the Alethi kings, then realises that it's about uniting all the kingdoms of Roshar... But I think it will end up being about Uniting the Shards (or at least the Power of the Shards) Dalinar is a BONDSMITH after all - I'm sure he'll discover that he can join the Powers together, much like he is able to join the Realms to create a perpendicularity - If what happened on Scadrial with Harmony is anything to go by, both Stormlight and Lifelight should still function after this... I think Stormlight Book 5 will be about Uniting Honor's Power with Cultivation's, so that Dalinar become the vessel of a new blended "Honivation" shard, (like Sazed on Scadrial). And then, in the second Stormlight series of 5 books (after Scadrial has gone full space-age), Dalinar and Sazed (and their minions) will get together as allies against Odium. (Harmony and Hoid's letters are all about building a coalition of Shards against Odium, and I think Dalinar is going to be a key part of that) So towards the end we'll have Honor, Cultivation, Ruin and Preservation all blended back into a "united" Shard, working towards the defeat of Odium, which by this point, has probably escaped the Rosharan system and is threatening the overall Cosmere - I'm thinking there'll be a coalition of Scadrians, Rosharans, and probably Threnodites, all working to beat Odium across several systems) ... The end of which will then link back as the conclusion of the "main" Cosmere story arc about the Shattering of Adonalsium. (and I can't wait to see how the Dragon Shard plays his/her part in that!)

Interesting theory, but I think it was established that splintering of a shard (honor) is much different to the death of vessel (what happens in mistborn) Basically the shard isn’t a cohesive entity anymore - no one can be a vessel if the shard isn’t in a state that it can be absorbed by a vessel. Imagine shard is a pizza - in mistborn the pieces went flying, while in sotrmlight the pizza was shattered into atoms. Sure, it still exists, the matter doesn’t evaporate but it’s no longer a pizza is it? But I’ve seen theories about un-splintering a shard (with a dawnshard perhaps??). If this were to happen I think kaladin might ascend and become Honor

Brilliant! Also if Szeth jumps in and kills Gavinor, Todium would hold Dalinar to be in breach of contract and declare the contest void. So Dalinar would probably escape being a slave, but Todium would unleash all his power on our heroes.

Oh and if Dalinar refuses to fight the child, would that amount to breaking an oath? Something that could potentially kill the Stormfather? So we'd end up with Dalinar free but Odium unleashed AND the Stormfather dead? That could definitely usher in a Night of Sorrows...

the brother weeping thing could have something to do with Moash, it likely is referring to Kal as he talks with Syl after they've killed him (I have an out there theory on those two) The problem with the death rattles is that there's a lot about it that involves regular death going on, and something is tickling the back of my head about it involving the past fake Desolations.

Wow, great video! The sketch at the beginning is hilarious. I've believed in the baby champion theory for a while now, but I haven't thought about Szeth being the Rosharan champion, and the evidence you gave is quite convincing. I kinda hope it's not the case though, because I really want to see Dalinar as Odium's emissary in the Cosmere. It would be really cool to see him filling a [Mistborn Era 1 spoilers] Marsh-like role where he's unwillingly doing the bidding of an evil force, but waiting for the right moment to break free and do some good in the cosmere.

You’re doing Stormfather’a work with these videos. I like to imagine that Sanderson watches these videos and says to himself: “damnit, maybe I didn’t hide these Easter eggs well enough… oh well.” And I think you’re absolutely right, but not based on logic but more of a gut feeling (your videos just support the gut feeling) because Sanderson never really gives us what would we think as the “normal arcs.” Normal arcs like: knowing Harry will have to face Voldemort from book 1 to book 7 and, “what’s this?! Harry & Voldie duel it out in the last book?! What I can’t believe it?!?!” So a normal arc would be “oh, send Kaladin in to fight Tarav” and then Kal wins (but barely surviving, like HP, or killing himself like Iron Man in Endgame). Plus, Sanderson has given us a plethora of champions that would be a great pick so saying “Kaladin will be it,” is weak (but understandable). But saying “Szeth will be the champion” 🧐 ooo, now we have something. And now it makes us wonder: what happened to the others and what’s the rational for Szeth over others?? Anyways, it’s disappointing that we have to wait like 2-5 years 😭 It just makes me wish I got into the series when it was wrapping up. But then again 👀 when a new book comes out, it does give me an excuse to reread/relisten to the series 👀

Always liked the baby champ theory, and Gavinor can easily be made willing if Odium just lets him kill moash. However, I'm not entirely convinced what the actual "contest" will be since we all know it is to the 'death'. Since the language of the terms is not super specific, you can be as pedantic as you want on a bunch of things.

I'll admit, you got me at the Szeth-Gavilar parallel. I have one major issue with this theory: Todium mentions, when browsing through Rodium's agreement with Dalinar, that he should have set the stage in a way that, no matter what would happen, he'd win. Isn't making the bet on Dalinar's mercy too much of a gamble from such a standpoint? Maybe he has something else up his sleeve too; but I'd expect him to choose someone, who'd be both hard for Dalinar to kill, but also have some chance of winning even if Dalinar finds himself capable of the sacrifice. In the end, if Odium wins, Gavinor will probably die anyway.

A lack of Stormlight would tie in really well with Dali at being forced to serve Taravodium; he would probably be forced to go against his oaths, thus killing the Stormfather and maybe ending the highstorms. This might even add to the Ba-Ado-Mishram subplot, as deadeyes seem to be connected, in some way, to her imprisonment. Her release could potentially be the factor that revives the Stormfather and returns Stormlight to Roshar. Just a thought

One of the, if not the most compelling theory out there! Love the skit too man! Keep going! Can I suggest my very own theory? I think this one can be sussed out pretty well... DARTH DALINAR/ DALINAR VADER We already know that the price for the Radiant's defeat is Dalinar becoming Taravodium's tool, his warrior, his unreleting force on Odium's ultimate intent: conquest. So hear me out: in trying to prevent the defeat, he stresses the bond with the Stormfather one last time - remember, he already hurt him twice and the Stormfather is pretty cryptic about a third time happening - and this reckless behavior finally does it: Dalinar kills the Stormfather, breaking his bond and destroying Stormlight for the forseable future... Taravodium then suggests the natural course: becoming the Bondsmith of Odium, something that's hinted at and even made fun of by the Stormfather himself. We also know that Brandon states the 5th book will fundamentally change the entire Cosmere, the future of the saga in an all encompassing event... And what better way than transforming Dalinar in the ultimate tragic villain, losing his faith after failing the Stormfather and the entirety of Roshar, transforming him into a cynic, relentless hammer of Oblivion, to bring desolation to the Universe he once swore to protect... the return of the Blackthorn. Nevermind the "BLACK"thorn association. Guess what other famous villain has the color black as a motiff. Also, Renarin potentially redeeming his father? As the only one the Emper... Excuse me, Taravodium cannot see the future of? Oof. Okay, tinfoil hat off.

@@havewissmart9602 Maybe so! He still is a ruthless man in many ways, specially to the Stormfather. I don't think Dalinar is "redeemed" in a deeper sense, he just learned to live with himself, he's still is a murderer and a war criminal, but it doesn't strictly define him, he is more complex now. I think by his own standarts he's trying to make amends to history and to everyone that he hurt, but that can change. The consequence is not him losing his integrity, but his faith/honor. The theme between him and Taravagian's arc together is precisely that: Dalinar refuses to be a cynic and maybe that means he's ultimately defeated. He will never see the Baby Champion coming, specially because he has no idea Odium is now Taravodium and the old man is capable of ANYTHING, no matter how despicable it is. In the end, Dalinar's "passion" for being honorable means the destruction of Roshar. Or maybe I'm wrong hehe

What do you think of a series discussing the letters to and from hoid throughout all 4 books. I know it probably doesn't relate with stormlight so much, but mor the general cosmere, but there's so much information hidden there if you analyse it carefully and obviously with the help of coppermind :). We get to see hoid writting to a dragon, learn more about the psychology of the vessels, the current situation of several shards and their opinions on Odium, and maybe even a confirmation that Hoid was directly involved with the splintering of Adonalsium, since someone refers to him as the bearer of the first gem, and i think Brandon Said Hoid was indeed a dawnshard at somepoint. There's some interesting comments about Lerasium, and even maybe the implication tha Wax from era 2, will travel to Roshar in SA era 2. I don't know. It's not so much Stormlight specific content, but i still would love to see you explore that. There's a lot of material to tinfoil about there. Especially if you combine it with Kriss system descripitions in arcanum unbounded. You basically get a lot of Shard History.

My current theory is that Gavinor will agree to be Odium's champion, with Odium promising Moash's death in exchange. Dalinar will kill him to win the war, but this will cause the Stormfather to die. This will create some issue with gathering Stormlight going in to Era 2, similar to the monumental shift that occurs between Mistborn Era 1 and 2. Team Radiant "wins", but at the cost of their Stormlight. Taravangian will view this as a victory because now thinks at a cosmic scale, and a 1000 year defeat is nothing to a Shard.

What have we done" I think this is in reference to 2 possible other scenes The first one that already happened: Teft´s death from the perspective of Kaladin The "what have we done" part might refer to the attempt at trying to save the other Radiants A BROTHER refers to Teft as part of Bridge 4, a sort of Brothers in arms deal The second option is one that might be yet to come: The DEATH of Renarim... I think TaravOdium will orchestrate Renarim´s death because of his ability to fuck with his Future Sight To secure victory is the best move. And Taravangian wouldn´t bat an eye at killing a person if he finds it justifiable This might be from the perspective of either Kaladin refering to "a brother" as in "one of the Kholin brothers" sort of way Or from the perspective of Adolin refering to his actual brother. Either way I find it strange that the rattle refers to the dead person as A brother. As in there is more than just one other brother That would give more credibility to Teft´s death being the case as Bridge 4 had many more members or brothers But also Kaladin being the perspective for Renarim´s death could be a valid option

You joke in the skit in the beginning, but I am like THIS close to making a literal wall of madness. My partner probably wouldn't protest to much. And also, I don't think Taravingian would need to be that manipulative to get little Gav to be his champion- all he needs to do is say "Come be my champion and if you win I'll give you the guy who killed your dad'. Hell, Taravingian probably wouldn't even be lying, I can totally see him throwing Moash under the bus for this.
