I've carried one of those crosses before! They are made by a family owned operation called Cross in my Pocket. Usually given to someone as a way of sharing the faith with others, attached to a paper with the Cross in My Pocket poem by Verna Mae Thomas.

Hey Nuggetnoggin. Great video today! I was amazed of the axehead you found. Looks to be quite old and I have a suggestion. You should attempt cleaning it up to the best of your abilities. Get a container and fill it with white vinegar. After wards completely submerge the axe head into the vinegar and let it sit there for about a week. Once that is done remove the axe and most of the rust should be gone. AVOID USING STEEL WOOL AND OTHER COURSE BRUSHES WHEN CLEANING THIS UNTIL YOU IDENTIFY THE MANUFACTURER OF THE AXE! A sponge should work to clean most of the rust off and once you know the manufacturer decide if you want to refurbish the axe or keep it as is. Happy hunting!

That cross you found is cool. In the military we would get those and hand them to family members, friends or keep them ourselves. We called them "Cross in your pocket". You carried it in your pocket or wallet.

Found a cloth gym bag full of money & an axe tied to the top while swimming at Clearlake, CA at the beach w/my Darling Granddaughter in 2011, about 15 feet out (about as far as an adult could have thrown or flung it) & chest-deep. CRAZY! Was it used in a robbery? Of course we took it to the Police, & they were SHOCKED I didn't keep it; such a beautiful place & horrible people, Police told me I must be the ONLY civilian in that town who wouldn't have kept it. The officer brought out his sergeant, & ALL of them applauded me...ummm, for doing the right thing? Turned out to be $800+. I told them I didn't want to be a thief; more than that, I didn't want my granddaughter to think I was! I lived there for about 6 months that summer; unfortunately, although I'd never had asthma before, I developed it living there, doctors said it was common! I loved the fishing there, but you can't eat the fish as it's poisoned from the runoff of mercury from mining; I found out later THE WATER IS POISONED!!! I called it: FISHIN HEAVEN, METH HELL! It seemed like 80-90% of population was on drugs - shame!! Oh, after we ride our bikes back to the beach from the P.D. & were talking to our neighbor about the ordeal, some (normal-seeming until she spoke) lady overheard & said, "Wow, that's such a shame! Now there's a tree-cutter out there who's looking for his tools and his bag of money!" I'm not even exaggerating, she said that word for word!! IDJITS!!
