Today we are back at the abandoned creek property and we are searching the 5th wheel that has been left up on the hill abandoned for years. We have been going through everything we can at the property and we will be gifting this camper to someone.

Be carefull and wear a mask when sweeping up mice or rat droppings. A freind of mine ended up in the hospital from sweeping droppings up in a shed without a mask.

The places where the walls are bulging, means there is water damage. If there is soft spots on the roof, that definitely indicates rot.

That fifth wheel camper is toast. In campers, once water gets in, it's usually worse than what you can actually see.

YES keep the clawfoot tub for your house because it can be cleaned up and reglazed if needed. Lots of people want those! And yes keep the old bus and repurpose it on your property. Love your whole family!! ❤️🙏✝️ You have a lot of useable items in the bus. If you don't keep them, I'm sure someone can make good use of them. 😊

I've got dibs on the claw foot tub bc I spotted it & commented on it in the 1st video...lol 🤭 😆 👍🏻😉 Great idea to have it sandblasted and redone bc it will be well worth restoring & the only one your house will ever need cause it's built for a long life....not like flimsy fiberglass tubs of today 👍🏻 I think you could donate the gooseneck to a Church or Organization that helps homeless people gain a living place bc it's definitely worth salvaging and someone less fortunate would be proud to call it home 🏡💖💞💖🏡

YES! That is all water damage on the whole side! The entire camper would need to be taken down to the studs to get rid of all the rat and mouse poop and pee. And there is bound to be black mold behind some of those walls from the moisture damage. I would give it away with the exclusion that you were not responsible for anything! That purple paint is a water proofing for showers and bathrooms. Some of those tools are for the slides, in case the power goes out, you can hand crank them. And there should be one for the awning. Some 5th wheels are walk on capable and some are not LOL.... They sell replacement awnings (canopy you were calling it).

I agree with you . The mold on the outside makes me think there may be mold between the walls and all the animal feces in the walls could be a health danger. It would definitely have to be stripped down to studs and redone to make it useable.

It could be fixed up. Would take some time and elbow grease. I'm sure when that stuff was driven in there, the trees were not all over like they are now. That tub is worth money! If you're not going to restore it for yourself, you will not have a problem finding a buyer.

That long metal thing you found in the front of the fifth wheel compartment looks like a Manuel hand crank for the pop outs when the electricity doesn’t work. I watched a friend use one when on his old fifth wheel.

The old claw foot tubs are very heavy. Tub may sell on ebay or they make good water troughs. Don't know if it would to tall for your horses. Good thing with using for trough is that it is easy to clean with drain in bottom

My father used a tub like that for an outside goldfish tank .but he lived in California..milder temperatures. Would make an awesome water trough for horses.

Someone could definitely get use out of the fifth wheeler. Someone would likely be happy to have it. Someone without a home would think it’s a castle!!! I have a cast iron tub in my garden and I use it for mixing soils. Definitely don’t get rid of the cast iron tub. So many uses including refinishing and using as a tub for a lovely comfort bath!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

My wife found an old tub like the one in the video. As well as, a really large cast iron wood stove. She had them both restored. The tub would need to be re-glazed. The cast wood stove came out stunning. We have it and use it in our house. Our electric bill is roughly a $100 per month during cold months. And our house is just over 2500 Sq. Ft.

My brother got the one that my family had for generations it had sat out side when. The old family home was tore down .and he took it and had it sand blasted and restored ,he put it in the master bath . And omg it looks amazing.

There are people that live the old claw foot tubs and willing to pay some good money for them if in decent shape. If nothing else they make cool flower gardens. There are also people that repair and resell campers that aren't too bad.

The camper could easily be sold or given away. Elbow grease and ambition it could be used for a home or even traveling if they wanted. In my area, if sold for 2 K, it would be perfect for lake property (Minnesota). Claw tubs are EXPENSIVE! Have a party "clean out and throw" giveaway party for anything friends or family would be interested in. He had storage containers that cost over 10 dollars a piece and those would be so easy to clean up and use. The bus would be a great chicken coop too.

If no one takes it than the junk yard to take it. They will probably take the bus too or you could use that for animals. It will look nice on the property once all is cleaned up. Enjoy your weekend.

Claw foot tubs are beautiful in bathrooms!! That could be used And that camper is most definitely salvageable!! So many people are moving into those and work remotely!! Maybe do a giveaway to help someone in need!! The bus can also be converted so there’s tons of potential with both the camper and bus!!

I think that the best thing you could do is cut the body off the trailer and put a flat bed deck on it and use it to haul hay or lumber on

Those old tubes are awesome! We set one five footer up in the back yard and used it for a dog washing station. Another one was a six footer and that one we used to soak in at the end of the day. If the enamel is in rough shape it can be media blasted then reenameled. You can paint the outside in any color you want to go with your decor.

Definitely keep the craw foot tub. You can have it sand blasted & re-enamel and install in your house or use it as a animal trough for yout current animals. We also used one for cleaning the hair off the hogs.

I think that RV would totally be salvageable for someone who knows what they're doing. It has a great layout - that kitchen is fantastic! My biggest concern would be the integrity of the roof because those aren't easy or cheap to repair (ask me how I know). Water damage is insidious. By the time you notice it, it has already done a lot of damage. I don't even think repairing that jacked up slide-out would be a big deal. It will be interesting to see whether any of the slide-out mechanisms work. Glad you're taking a second look at that claw foot tub!

New owner could park it somewhere and build a permanent roof over it. That's what they do in Florida. It's in a permanent location and either a real framed & asphalt shingle roof is put on or an aluminum shade/rain roof placed over RVs. I'm surprised there wasn't one built over it already since it was parked there all the time.

Hey Dutch & Brandi you can use that tub as a water tub for the horses or outside bath for summer campers or garden tub as for 5th wheel them slide outs can be rebuild just takes time the big problem is if mice or squirrels ate up wiring & water lines frozen up but anything can be fixed bus would be real easy to fix up as hunting hut GB y'all stay safe & bring us along on clean out (your lost old wolf pup friend LTC 😀)

I bought one from a farmer that used it to water his horses. Sand blasted the bottom and claws. Painted it black. The white porcelain was in tact, no chips or cracks or worn places. Brass fixtures and oval brass shower rod… looked elegant in my remodeled guest bathroom! It’s called, Clawfoot tub. That would be great in your house!!!!! I love your all’s adventures. Theres a guy on you tube has a channel that shows him and his wife restoring old buses and they turn thrm into tiny homes that they drive ,Its called a Bus Life ,glad your saving the tub they cost a small fortune over here ,clean it up get it re enammelled and save yourselves a lot of money mine was close on £600 uk money ,i dont know enough about the 5th wheel but it does look livable 💕

I've lived in the same 5th wheel for 28 years, it is a real good well built high quality 5th wheel. Over the years we have done a lot of fixing up to it. We have fixed tip out leaks, tip outs falling down, window leaks, sewage problems, replaced the refrigerator, replaced the roof and more. If the 5th wheel was not winterized the pipes are probably busted. The last time we fixed our 5th wheel up it cost us about $10,000.00 but we were able to live in it again now for 2 years. It is very cheap living, very cheap property taxes. We bought an abandoned property and have now put our 5th wheel on the property. As you are cleaning up your property I encourage you to try and save some of the good stuff if you can. It is a lot of work, we filled one big dumpster full and lots of little trips to the dump. We had an abandoned old mobile home on our property that was in worse shape than that 5th wheel. We also had a lot of animals that got into every building on our place but we cleaned it all up and we are using every building on our property now.

That tub would make a very nice planter, I've seen it where they tip it over & have some dirt coming out of it & then plant flowers in it so it looks like you were taking it some where & it tipped over & flowers started growing up & out of it, it would be very pretty. That 5th wheel could be converted into a hunting cabin where you all could come out & stay in it while a few of you went hunting.....

them old cast iron tubs are worth a few bucks as scrap although someone will pay a few bucks to restore it and use it. but i see a lot of them that are turned into a flower or vegetable/herb garden. i think someone would be willing to spend a few bucks to get the camper and restore it for private use. bus as well. if you sold both of them you could always move yours out to the property for use to hang out up there. house is almost done.

The claw foot tub is valuable. They make new versions of these but this is the old cast iron beast When my wife and I were married 50 years ago, our first residence was an upper floor of an old house that had one of these. Fill it with hot water and let it cool down a bit so you can climb in, and it was pure pleasure, it would stay warm for quite a long time, and the back was sloped to allow you to recline. I miss that tub.

I would keep and refinish the clawfoot tub for sure. Either use it yourself or sell it as is. I've also seen people make pretty flower containers out of them for their gardens. And my Papaw used an old cast iron tub as a water trough for his cows too in one pasture..

That tub if it isn't heavily damaged should have a date on it. I saw one the other day that was a 100 years old and they had it cleaned and resurfaced and it was gorgeous. Too bad there is so much stuff........years of it. Both things could be redone or parts used as it just looks let go rather than abused. Someone who is handy as can be could take it on for a good project. Maybe you could push the bad tip -out in and cut it from the inside and keep the exterior excel cover for looks. Clear out the junk and hook up some generator to check appliances too. The old bus looks very iffy that may have some surprises..

That antique tub in an antique shop is sold for big bucks. I had one that was damaged I repaired it and it became the animals water trough. I definitely believe someone would be interested in the fifth wheel There are so many people looking for shelter those who are just starting their farm or homestead

I think giving that 5th to someone interested in rehabbing it would be the best idea. Keep that great claw foot tub. I would also move your new 5th wheel to the creek property when you’re finished using it. That would give you or your family a place to stay when you’re there or else you could use it as a temporary rental cabin on the property. Good luck! Love watching your videos. Beautiful family!

Many years ago our home had a tub like that, it was so comfortable and seemed to fit you perfectly no matter your size. We have had many new tubs none were as comfortable as that one.

Being a pensioner, and in need of a small camper to live in I would have loved to have this, as I live in a 6 by 4 meter shed. Sadly I live in S. A. So it would not be possible. Where I live there are just no offers or kind gestures in this field. My best of wishes to the person who takes the camper of your hands, and I wish them many days of happy living. Oh you lucky people , that cast iron tub is awesome , hope you keep it. I had one it's great for baths , water stays hot for a long time , ours was a 7 footer and close to 4 ft deep. I miss that tub.. My opinion is junk them both ...yuck . Sorry they are not appealing to me. But hey , one man's junk is another man's treasure. Cast iron covered porcelain tub - have it refurbished. Will hold heat better than the fiberglass - Love the tub. The 5th wheel, clean out & get rid of for someone to live in.

You could make an outdoor shower at your other property and finish the tub for there, or use it for washing the dogs or watering the animals, etc.
