I’m glad you can still buy Lego sets from your supports, you deserve to build legos and review them for your fans 😊
@bramfokke1460Ай бұрын
I don't mind the hidden details. It feels like a little reward during the building experience. The details you show in your video comprise of a few tiles here and there. I can't imagine those having a huge impact on the price, but they do add to the building experience.

Yes! And now I'm definitly getting them both for christmas. Also I'll try to modify the astronaut to look like moon walk space suit.

Amazing review Sariel, and the set is a great one too! I really hope to get this one some day. I love the new tyres, and the amount of detail made with existing pieces is insane here! Plus the folding in/out function looks really great as well.

Crab steering moves the axles in the same direction so it can move diagonally, this is just normal all-wheel steering.

I like details even if they are not accessable in the end. Knowing it is there is part of the experience for me. The other stands are indeed a bit overkill to me.

Another excellent review. Maybe I'll make a CCBS astronaut for it 🤔🤔🤔

Wow there is a lot more to this set than I thought! Very tempting to pick it up however it is like you said pretty pricey for what you get. About 300.00 here in Canada. And our postal service is on strike. And I don't really have anywhere to display it. And I am trying to save money :D If it was less than 250 I would prob go for it. Also way back in the day I owned 8480. Yes it was a VERY cool set!

Very unique indeed... something of a mutt of Technic and Creator... but undeniably cool.

Review is great. But I have one question unanswered. Is LRV in scale with Perseverance?

Am I the only one to think that 2024 technic limeup has been abysmal? Apart from overpriced supercars and bikes, we barely got anything

Yes your right there, I'm hoping for things to improve considerably especially with the 50 year anniversary in 2027
@nevallen5760Ай бұрын
Absolutely right! Time we had some better finishes, and I personally would love to see either some decent new agricultural machines, or a decent sized, feature loaded fire truck, maybe a good hydraulic rescue platform
@jackgamer6307Ай бұрын
@nevallen5760 Out of 53 sets avalible on lego's official site, 2 are licensed john deere vehicles. About 5 are construction, give or take another 5 space, leaves us with 30-35 ish cars/bikes (give or take sets that can't be categorized easily). I'd love more interesting things like aircraft or construction equipment, cranes (apart from a USC size and price crawler crane), trucks, or other things. Not just.. cars.

See, _sigh_ they'd sell more sets if they advertised them interacting on their boxes more. I had no idea there'd be an astronaut that scales as well as it does, even with the hedge given, with this vehicle when it was alone on store shelves. And by the time the Astronaut was out this was gone.
@janvdwouwАй бұрын
At this price point, you'd expect Lego to at least do a proper proof read of their texts. They had "sheild" instead of "shield" in the DeLorean Time Machine and now this set has "build in" instead of "built-in" on one of the plaques. Still an awesome set, though I'm drawn to the Perseverance more...

Maybe "it's a feature, not a bug" marketing? Remember the Orient express? Wrong letters, wrong logo, wrong engine.

Hi! Or you can make a sequel with a lego tank on the Reno FT 17 radio control. I've been subscribed to you for 4 years now
@searmeАй бұрын
Hi, what kind of a sequel? I've built the FT-17 tank already.
@Lego_assembly_257Ай бұрын
Sorry, I said in the plan that you were making Mark 5 and FT 17 tanks, and I would like to see them tested in the forest (speed, cross-country terrain), and therefore the FT 17 and Mark 5 turned out very good. Or you can try to build a French tank from the First World War "SAINT-CHAMON"
@searmeАй бұрын
I made Mark 5 and Ft 17 years ago already and disassembled them later so no, I can't film them again. Saint-Chamon is an interesting tank and I might build it one day.
@Lego_assembly_257Ай бұрын
I agree SAINT-CHAMON is an interesting tank. I look forward to when you build it!

I'm really torn on this set. On one hand, the rover seems to be truly unique and mechanically interesting (and it seems to be a nice parts pack). On the other hand, with so many little handles to move before you can do anything, it doesn't really feel Technic. Also this set must have the worst substance-to-fluff ratio of all Technic sets to date. I would be surprised if the rover was more than 1000 parts (and a lot of those go in the seats). If it were just the rover, it would have been great. But half of the set doesn't feel Technic, yet because it uses the Technic buliding system it also doesn't look nearly as nice as it would have done if it were a System set.

To be quite honest, I'm disappointed by this set. It's too expensive, especially comapred with my recent favourite "space sets", the ISS and the Saturn V. If it were 80-100€ less, it would be ok, but for this price, I'll pass...
