Sears-Kay Ruins
The public is encouraged to visit this pueblo site. Sears-Kay has dirt trails leading to the various ruins, interpretative signs, shaded picnic tables and restrooms.
All illustrations and excerpts of descriptive dialogue in this video are taken from an informational brochure published by the Arizona Archaeological Society entitled “Sears-Kay Ruins”. All photos and videos are produced by me.
Sears-Kay has been partially restored by various groups and volunteers, and easily found using a Google search.
This video can be paused at anytime and the music can be muted.

I imagine the river used to flowing fairly regularly year round back then. One thing about many sites in our Southwest that, to me, indicates there were often threats from other tribes and that is how often they are in high places rather than pretty close to water.

I've been hinting to others about the glyphs between Los Angeles and Las Vegas and your channel. In hopes of getting others to view these awesome places.

Good one....Im familiar with these ruins, its a spot that my friends and I would often use as a spot for telescope parties on dark weekend nights when we didn't feel like driving all the way to seven springs. They have really nice interpretive signage including site diagrams (as shown in your video), but even those signs just can't do the site justice compared to your excellent drone work..,..it brought a whole new perspective

As I have watched your videos, I came to understand just how vibrant these areas were. It is also sad to see how much they did only to become a whisper from the past with only the stones to mark their passing. Just families living out their days in the High Desert. Near the Valley of Fire close to Lake Mead there are natural water catches called "tanks" that hold rainwater. Near some of these are petroglyphs. Anything like that in the areas you have visited?

I think the only thing preventing the use of Lidar is funding for the agencies.

Funny thing about these ruins, no graves. No bodies, have ever been found here. Ever, in all the years it has been known.

Ok we got Sears the white guy, but Where's Roebuck, the black guy?

Interesting story. Roebuck told Sears to shove it after he made his 1st million. One of his relatives was a silent partner with Bill Gates and is now retired in northern Nevada with a portfolio worth more 3.5 billion dollars.
