I feel sad for Peter. He really needed a positive parental influence and never got it...His mother treats him like absolute crap and doesn't respect him- and how do you expect a strong confident person to come from *two* parents who do that? Like, if this is his adulthood, imagine his childhood. I feel that; I had parents who I ran away from to live with my boyfriend early in my adult life because they were disrespectful and shattered my confidence every second I spent with them. They too broke me down, called me a moron and incompetent- then had the gall to wonder why I wasn't an outgoing, confident person and had trouble making decisions. In this one week, Gordon Ramsay was probably more of a father to Peter than his actual dad had been his entire life.

@@essexginge9167 he doesn’t need to “man up” what he needs is support and comprehension, not a mother that only scolds him every second of the day. Him asking Gordon for a simple hug, and then being able to turn around and finally take charge after that, shows just how much abuse and neglect he’s probably faced during a whole lifetime. Men are human too, they have feelings just like anyone else, and simply trying to beat them into being “strong” and “manning up” every second of the day isn’t the way to successfully raise a competent, confident and successful person.

@scorgi04 жыл бұрын
@dftfujd dsrjdh Well i no longer work there. But when i did work there for like a year and half, the first 2 months, the floors inside by the host stand and all the way to the back exit door, were all cracked up and broken even some cracks had duct tape. But then like 3 months later they put new floors that looked like fake wood. But it’s a pretty dim light restaurant. But when i used to work in the kitchen, that was where it looked really janked. Like the walls looked like it was coming apart, had shitty paint all over them and even some of the floor was missing tiles and they used like two wooden platforms by the dishwasher area. Plus in the dishwashing area where there was a back door in the kitchen, they repainted the floor there like 4 times with blue and orange colors but it kept wearing off and lost color. So the kitchen was definitely beat up looking and looked more like a prisonhouse.
@scorgi04 жыл бұрын
@dftfujd dsrjdh Oh yeah definitely. Even the owner himself did not look professional and he didn’t wear proper clothing. He literally would wear every-time he came to the restaurant to inspect, He would wear different baseball caps each time, And wore this white button down shirt EVERY single time with black pants and non slip shoes. But even the way he was attired, his shirt was never properly tucked in his pants and would look sloppy whenever he came in and sometimes the front zipper on his pants would be unzipped. So not only was the floors shit, but also the owner did not make his establishment look good either especially since he also had a waitress there who was a drug addict and she was as skinny as a toothpick and her face was the face of a crack user. Plus i’m glad i don’t work there no more because they ripped me off on the paychecks several times and they would make some people work 2 out of 3 holidays which was xmas eve, new years eve and new years. And for new years eve they close at 9:30 and make people work the next day for new years day, acting like their employees are essential when they aren’t. They make us work all those holiday shifts but yet we never received holiday bonuses in our paychecks. And one time on new years eve i left work early without letting anybody know bc of the fact that day and new years day were on days i normally don’t work and it was bullshit so i’m glad i did that shit and no longer am a slave to them. There’s better work out there in the world with better pay and better management. 😎. Don’t get me wrong the food is really good, but it isn’t worth working there.

The table side flambé service was bought back by Marilyn, Scott had trained new chefs but 5 months after the show was recorded the Seascape closed and was sold to new owners. It had also gone back to the way it was before which was unpopular with the new customers. The Seascape was due to re-open as The Coast but was sold again and is currently J & R Steak House, Urban Spoon reviews are good.

I think this clip shows how genuine Ramsay is. He told them to clean the kitchen from top to bottom, and he's standing in there cleaning, no chef's jacket on or anything - work clothes. It is easy for a man of certain status and power to just hand out assignments and then leave for others to do the dirty job, but he stays. That's a sign of a great leader. I like it.

Wow! with a mother like that it's no wonder that Peter doesn't have any self esteem. She's just so awful to him, not one ounce of love or compassion towards her son. It's so obvious that he's still grieving the death of his father .

Gordon handled this case extremely well. The box ring, the hug, even that fist bump at the end. Really therapeutic for the owner. A similar case to that of the Grasshoper restaurant. I hope after the restaurant selling he separated himself from his mom and is living his life as a healthy independent adult somewhere else.
