the slow on tentacle is nice, i dont think its enough to get him out of C tier- All the other tanks can just do more with LESS effort and less reliant on teams

He's just too easy to cc out of even being able to use that buffed shield we got. Doesn't matter how high the temp HP value is if we get Luna/mantis cc to the dome every time we dive at higher elo.

I DESPERATELY need the devs to understand; the problem with Venom's kit wasn't so much the health values he gained as much as it was his lack of escape potential. Venom needs the cooldown on his swing to be reduced and something to help counteract the multitudes of stuns that characters can do on him to completely shut him down. as it stands, he's a harder tank to get value from when he relies so heavily on a healer to ensure his survivability, making diving backlines practically useless when he's stuck on the ground for a full 8 seconds after doing what the character was designed to do

Don't think his left click is the problem. He just doesn't have any counterplay against CC like Hulk or even Cap. You can be a master with Venom's entire kit and still not have a way to counter CC.

I mess with the buffs heavily, the cellular corrosion/ult combo oneshots every 250 hp character and in most matches the 275 or even 300+ characters are usually chipped down so the combo deletes them. I think the main issues venom has are how easily he’s denied value from cc. Since cellular corrosion takes 4 seconds to pop you get stunned and the enemy walks out of the tentacle’s range and the cc practically forces you to retreat if the enemy team turns around because your burst opportunity is gone. The Venom damage microbuff was perfect because it was a damage breakpoint for the oneshot combo, all I really think he needs is cellular corrosion to either pop faster or slow more. And then GIVE HIM TECH, let Venom’s bhop carry more momentum- cause you can only really do one- and then let cellular corrosion cancel his landing animation for grappling towards the floor

I think, the only buff that venom needs is have his web with a less coldown or have 2 swings at time, the character has well HP but venom is a character dedicate to disturb the enemy (poke), he needs movement to survive, maybe not the same than Spiderman, but he needs more. Its only my opinion...

Imo after these buffs, Venom's survivability has gone up at least 2 notches and with the increased base damage to the ultimate it feels easier to pick off small groups of players trying to return to the fight and confirm kills. Gotta be a mid to high B tier tank now

I had no idea he had a buff until someone told me after several matches, didn't feel a thing playing him and barely noticed once I knew what buffs he had. Maybe next time they'll give him a legitimate buff, in particular his LT(Console gamer) since everyone seems to be able to break away so easily.

I still dont know how to feel about the buffs like all they did was buff his survivability i feel they need to buff his slow, attack speed increased and a slightly bigger hitbox on his tendril cause hitting a small characters is very difficult and also just feels very inconsistent those are just a few that come to mind.

I disagree, its a four round burst but you can infinitely fire it. It just has a set range. It isnt a melee in the traditional sense, and i think its enjoyable for it

You’re supposed to swing and slam down and while retreating use your sticky long damage ability while they follow you back to the time while hitting them with your regular attack

He needs celular corosion to have a longer tether range and a stronger slow and maybe a slightly thicker hitbox on his primary, though admitidly that could be a skill issue on my part and make cc half as effective on him when using sheilds any 2 of these would make him a b tier tank at least imo

My main issue is his right click like you said. Make it go off faster slow more or something. It’s to easy to get away from for such small damage. The larger issue is that you basically have to play shield tanks to be effective. Between the CC and the amount of heals and immunity’s in the game it’s damn near impossible to dive in get a pick and get out. So you have to play shields and W key while dps just kills stuff. Such a boring way to play imo.

Eh if it's on CD cellular corrosion reveals where she is even when invisible because the tentacle shows where she is even when invisible. In some ways, Venom actually hard counters Invisible Woman.

Yes same i almost lost my mind today I’m struggling to get any kills cause every has a stun sleep or retreat and i can’t do nothing about it! I know corrosion follows the enemy when retreating and still effect them but nah it’s tuff out here for us venom mains!😭😭

Venom's kit seems like self-sabotage. Your ult is based on current health, but when you dive - you deal damage, you then use your bind, they stun and walk out or escape, you use your attack and if you hit all 4 you deal 80 damage (base). Then you ult. It's difficult to currently play and I still kind of feel like Venom gets a slower ult charge (he's diving in, taking damage and leaving vs tanks like Strange/magneto constantly on the front-line) and the ult is one of the weakest vanguard (arguably one of the weakest in the entire game) at least. In my opinion, having some utility (like knock-up on ult or stun on the corrosion?) and more damage to his auto + shorter cooldown on swing/second charge? Feels weird I can't swing into a fight because the CD is so long. Overall C tier tank imo

at least the ult feels like it does something now thats nice,the more health buff is useless would have prefered if he got cc immune during the shield duration i dont get why mister fantastic a DPS gets to be way more tanky have way many tools to negate cc all he lacks is mobility but when he can survive basically anything it doesnt matter and we over here have one tanking ability and we get stunned out of it most of the time, and the right click i dont even know why we bother to use literally takes too long to do the damage doesnt slow enough and gets outhealed in a second

Hopefully the Spider-man is banned for throwing the game like that, and it does suck you get teammates that likes to throw for no reason in competitive. Which i've been there before when i still played Overwatch at the time, and it is frustrating to deal with throwing teammates. Especially when your trying to get to a higher rank. As for Venom's buff, it's okay. Even though i think his corrosion attack could have more of a damage buff in my opinion

Bro I have been looking forward to your take on his buffs. I think they missed the mark. Venom just feels like a slightly thicker punching bag now. In a perfect world I think him being more of a melee character with his primary and cellular corrosion actually slowing a decent amount would be my best case scenario. Maybe when they do the bigger overhauls they mentioned in season 2 for some team ups (maybe characters??) we could see something big change for our boy.
