Small note, Velazquez is not pronounced "Velaskues" as in this episode but rather "Velaskes" or "Velathketh" if they are from spain

Fernando Franco Félix I thought about this, and I think the reason Velasquez is pronounced the way it is is because if there is only one nation in this world, then perhaps pronunciation is different and Spanish as we know it isn't the same in the 'new society.'

Fernando Franco Félix I think perhaps that Jesse means that the society got rid of different dialects of languages so that would explain the mispronunciation

Also: dialects are a thing. Not being a native speaker is a thing. How about we celebrate the fact that here is a maori woman who does a superb job as a voice actor AND appreciate that they cast people from ethnic groups who are criminally underrepresented (is that a word?) in any kind of media?
