The way the speaker confirms to the listener that they are being observed and need to speak expected responces aloud is so creepy. The shoulder thing and telling them that they arent supposed to miss or even acknowledge the loss of whatever it is they miss is just ugh. Its super blatant but also weirdly subtle?

The comment that the Institute just wants to study our listener, they don't even want to bother teaching them to realign with society or whatever is happens to other patients is so creepy. Just what do they plan on doing to our listener once their study is over?

I started listening to this when my mom was fighting cancer. My depression was spiraling, but the exercises here actually helped me a lot. I still listen to this episode to relax sometimes

I don't believe that the low tide story is true. How Roiomita was talking about not being able to remember her feelings or her face...and how it directly contradicts previous episodes about when she last saw Claudia...I feel the society government might gave done some memory implanting on Roiomita

The way she just moves right into talking about their personal lives with hardly any connection to the previous sentence is jarring. It is unrealistic and poorly written.

I kept wondering Atieno's relation to Oleta and Hestia...whether it's possible Atieno is Oleta since people having their names changed was something that was mentioned somewhere I think. And that the reason Atieno disappeared is cause she went to work in that facility in season one... Aaand now she's dead. Ok...f*ck I'm sad. Poor Mangakahia, the grief in her voice...

Oh, just finished season one in a podcast app and is now looking at the comments in KZbin, don't mind me.... Anyways, the bug part was an odd mix of relaxing and disconcerting. Even when I was somewhat panicking in my mind at this child trapping me and and taking my wings, I was also relaxed.... Love this show

Not really, when you're talking/ listening to people from Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand her accent is really very subtle. There are American (assuming you are, else substitute the country accordingly) accents/dialects way stronger than hers. That being said, of course you can and should be annoyed by whatever you like (or don't, I guess?) :)
