Many things in Sikkim is incomprehensible,at least for me,,viz. yearlong maternity leave ,,and now this 100 - 200%hike in MV taxes.Well,Nirmala Sitaraman should learn few tricks from Sikkim about levying taxes.State's economy is in shambles, public at large are reeling under inflation,tourism is crippled,and yet this hike in taxes.

@@dreamadventure8220 I wouldn’t necessarily view it as a communal law. Sikkim, having once been a kingdom, followed the king’s laws, which included restrictions on slaughter during auspicious days. Those customs have continued over time, so it seems more like a traditional practice than a communal issue.
