Here’s the thing I hate about the apex community, just a couple months ago people complained about slow ttk because it took too long to kill, now people are complaining about faster ttk like wtf do y’all want? It’s the same for other mechanics being tweaked, stg this community is the biggest bunch of complainers I’ve ever seen.

I quit playing apex a season after they added the red armor because I felt like it destroyed the gunfighting by making it slower and more tedious. Everytime you shot an enemy with a full mag, it felt like you didn’t even break their shield. I thought it was very well balanced with purple and gold armor but the red armor was a little too much. I think the mythic helmet might be alright but I hope it is really rare. After watching this video, I might actually try the game again.

In any other game these changes seem good. However for apex this sounds like ability overhaul. Making it outright chaos would be really cool in a PvE game, but they have a bunch of legends and giving ability overhaul doesn’t make sense if you can down people with COD TTK. I think it will just perpetuate cod’s shoot first win first playstyle and makes it so if your shield breaks at all or get any kind of disadvantage you just straight up lose. I mean what am I hearing? Ballistic gets 4 charges to that tracking gun that stops you from shooting. Ash getting air dashes. Team speed boosts. Highlighting enemies you shield break. Light down targets on fire. Ability recharge on knocks. Cod TTK. Holy fuck, calm down apex. I get it, getting third partied sucks but making a fight last 2 seconds is lame.

Youre saying all that when fights already last 2 seconds and if you’re on the winning side you get less than 10 seconds to get third partied. Plus the entire lobby is run by 3 stacks all running support. This change is needed.

As a day one support play I’m sad to see the fast heals go but honestly it’s a good thing I didn’t like playing the other classes because I was so used to the fast heals now I can play Maggie again without feeling at a disadvantage

These changes sound great, but I also just wanted to remind you and maybe the two other people who might find it interesting that Apex Mobile also did the same thing with the POI name floating above while in the dropship! It was one of the QoL features I immediately loved first whenever I played it. Nice to see after two years that feature is coming to the main game!

on paper sounds fun in practice it wont, kills will happen more often, you will loot 5 to 10 minutes, and be killed in .8 seconds, or even worst you will be killed in the end of first round by the last 3 squads, average skill players will get fustrated by how fast and boring the game is, season 6 was fast pace and it didnt work

Quicker ttk means third party is easier. Not that fights will end faster, therefore counter a third party. People will be more causitous, and they will still be close, waiting to pounce once the timeing is optimal.

Not necessarily, faster ttk means fights end faster and there are less opportunities for other teams to capitalize, especially if you have a support to help with the reset. I think they’re actually cooking with this one but we’ll have to wait and see how it feels in game.

there are two possible things, third party is easier which means more kills will happen and faster meaning it will end up like pubs with 3 squads before last ring, 2nd less marging for error and more fustration in player base, meaning people wont want to play because they spend more time in the lobyy than in the map, reducing strategies to hybrid only, battles already were 30s longer this means battles will be reduce to half

Ttk changes are dumb. This is what seperates good players and average/bad players. It will be like in Cod, were bad players can just get lucky and kill a better one without being better. Also why should the gameplay get faster? People are just gonna rat more if they know they die within half the time they used to. Lowering ttk in a shooter is always a bad choice.

Lowering the skill ceiling is always unhealthy to shooters. That's why they die. It should be rewarded to put in the time and being good, not forming a shooter for players who don't even put any effort into the game. Of course some balancing is nice though..

I love the armor changes. Red evo was never really hard to get and by the middle of a match everyone has it and it would make fights take forever and by the end of one a third party would show up and mess everything up. I’m glad ttk is gonna be much faster now.

I love the difference between YT and Twitter comments. Everyone on Twitter doesn't fact check anything, so they complain saying stuff like "Oh lowering TTK is gonna make it like COD" and someone was complaining about there being no new map, legend, gun, etc, complaining about the Arsenal without even trying it, and then saying "Kill the game" I think these changes are a good slow step in the right direction for the game. My only real complain is purple being the max default level, I know its to help with the TTK, but I really like seeing my shield being an orange/red

Tbh tho theres high ttk and theres boring tedious sponge ttk which is what the game has. Imo the ttk was perfect before the red armour came into the game, where it was simply, white, blue, purple, and sometimes gold if you found it. The current state of the game has fights lasting way too long and with the amount of heals a team can have its horrendous.

People think that TTK redux will be like S6... They will only remove red armor, that is all. So we are going back mostly to S0-S1 Apex Legends TTK with POSSIBILITY to get a red helmet to get to 125 dmg mitigation total. The TTK redux won't be AS BAD AS S6. You will still have 50 white, 75 blue, and 100 purple. The +1 in total damage is okay. Make sure you know how to aim, strafe, and keep cover and get good angles. Avoid running like a chicken with your tunnel vision.

so what exactly is the point of crypto or fuse having those abilities anymore? Are they going to change it for them? crypto can auto reload as he is in drone, although its not the same exactly as the assault legends, it feels silly just giving them cryptos passive. and for fuse, what the point of even picking him? im aware there arent a lot of fuses around but the gimmick was extra nades yk? and then the surge for cracking legends, it also feels silly bc thats basically a mini ballistic ult just for cracking a shield.

Why would this be bad for fuse? He can still carry extra grenades, even more now. Plus he may be able to carry 2 grenades each in those extra slots. So 4 free grenades that don’t fill up your backpack.

i would wanna say im hyped for these big changes, but as an og with over 10k hours and playing since season 0 i just cant, last 5 seasons where big changes to and massively dissappoint till last seaosn being completely unplayable for solo qeueue

Legends are getting stronger and stronger abilities and my boy Pathfinder (who is harder to play than most of the other legends) is being left behind lol. A 30 second cooldown on the grapple is still ridiculous.

@@EVILsparxs-y4d Games where everything is op aren’t fun! You die instantly to everything and your skill doesn’t matter. All that matters is who shot first and who had better positioning. This change will kill the game quicker than stale gameplay would have!
