Aside from plot convenience, the only other reason is simply, tunnel vision. Ber mission was to retrieve that capsule which, if recall correctly, contained the DNA that the Clones are made from (Jango Fett's). After Ventress kicked Anakin away who snatched it from her, she most likely was too absorbed with the need to complete her mission (and the fear of failing again) to notice
