Great episode. Probably ranks in my top 5 or maybe even in top 3 for this channel. Loved hearing Geoff's story, and looking foward to seeing more of his racing career and watching the team and the DP partnership grow. I would be interested in seeing more content on Dirt Perfect channel of Geoff's racing journey, even if the results aren't as expected. The struggle and how you handle it and move forward is where it's at. I'll be looking for links to Geoff's social media to follow him. Who knows, he's already done an impromptu wrap on his car for Caterpillar, maybe in the future Hyundai or Volvo will step up and we will see some legitimate sponsership logos on Geoffs car. People into construction are also into racing. Imagine a Hyundai booth at the track with Dirt Perfect and a competition to see who can use the excavator to right the car chassis place it in the designed landing zone, and pick up the other scattered pieces and drop them where they belong. Would love to see a camera in the car during qualifying and the race and hear Geoff doing a voiceover of what's going through his head, what he's trying and how it worked and why it didn't and what he would do different next time.

I really enjoyed this podcast. I grew up in the suburbs of the Motor City where there are no dirt tracks (topic for another day) My dad was from South Dakota and we would only get to visit my Grandparents every other summer. Anyway Huests Speedway was only 5 miles down the road from them, and I was always excited to see a race there, especially when the World of Outlaws came to town. I did not realize until I was an adult how good of a race track that is. Glad to see that track still operating as a race track. As a side note it is very difficult to describe the sites and sounds and especially the smell of the racing fuel being burned. I believe someone has to physically go to a sprint car race before they are allowed to not like it lol. I guess it always brings back good memories of my childhood. Good luck this season Geoff! Hopefully I’ll be able to bring my kids to a race soon

Sounds like how my life could have turned out. When I was born, my father raced stock cars.. and from what I’m told he loved it. But he gave it up after I was born. (not only that but his partner also had a kid or two at that time.. and it was a mutual quit).. It could have been quite easy for me to get that bug.. oh, he didn’t stop working on the cars.. he used to work on other drivers cars.. but race day he was nowhere near a track. That was early 70 to mid 70’s.. even those friends were gone by 1980 though… Great podcast…
