Season Opening 2024 in Zurich

On the last weekend of May, after weeks and weeks of rain and cold, the sun finally showed its face, just in time for this year's Freediving Season Opening. 6 Apnea Center Instructors welcomed 16 certified freedivers, some with years of experience and others who had just been certified the day before. It was wonderful to see old friends and welcome newcomers to our freediving community. The group started
with a stretching session in the sun to warm up and prepare the muscles and lungs for the first dive in the cool lake water.
The visibility was amazing and the divers enjoyed two long sessions (with a break to warm up and refuel in between) before finishing the day with a raffle where everyone won a prize and the funds raised were donated to the Children's Hospital in Zurich. Everyone shared a delicious chili cooked over an open fire and a few drinks and desserts before parting ways, hearts filled with the satisfaction of a day spent freediving with friends and looking forward to a wonderful summer season on the lake.
