Well, rebirth island was actually mentioned a little while back,in 2010(black ops 1) in the campaign,Fredrich Steiner was on rebirth island but the design of rebirth island wasn't exactly like the design of warzone rebirth idk if it really matters tho

Verdansk 84 didn’t release with Rebirth, it came after Rebirth in April 2021. Rebirth came in December 2020

A reminder that the reason why Rebirth Island is basically Alcatraz with a Russian coat of paint is mainly because the Devs wanted to go to Aral Sea and take reference images of the actual Rebirth Island, but weren't able to because both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (the 2 countries where the Aral Sea (and by extension, Rebirth Island) were located in) closed off their borders in 2020 due to certain events. (As with the rest of the world)

I don't only miss miss the maps, I just miss the original Warzone. The visual style and gameplay of Warzone on the current engine just doesn't appeal to me that much anymore. Not even mentioning the fact that the game has become a sweat-fest that is only fun for people who play the game day-in-day-out and are always up with the meta's.
