Sacking Ange at any point this season would be disastrous for Spurs. This really is a three year rebuild that needs at least 5 windows to build appropriately. As a Spurs supporter, preaching patience isn't exactly great. But considering we wasted years with Mourihno and Conte, I'm more than willing to give Ange the time to build this foundation. We will add more depth in January, and I expect to see fire power next summer as we've cut all the fat off our wage sheet.

Can my fellow Spurs fans remember how we played under our last 3 managers..Thank god the people screaming for Ange to go have no say in the matter. He’s only been here just over a year and I’m delighted with how things have changed all throughout the club. We’re on a rebuild and this doesn’t happen overnight. The same fans who want him out would be wetting their knickers if he left and crying for him to come back.COYS.

Ricky, I love your content and the channel. Thank you for all you do. I struggle with the Big Ange bashing. It’s, IMHO, ridiculous, mainly because to be successful, as shown by our contemporaries, a team (sporting or otherwise) needs stable, consistent, leadership. So, I’d urge Spurs fans to let this season play out, accept the squad we have, support the team. Please 🙏Regardless of our social media expertise, and/or rankings, we can’t change any players until Jan, at the earliest. And regardless of Monopoly money football, we have to stay FFP/PSR compliant. We can’t play “name a player and buy him” any more. Even The Light Blue Oilers, and South London Cheetahs, can’t do that anymore. Albeit that the SLCs lawyers, and accountants, will challenge the Premier League should they try to rein them in!! Not that they have the minerals to do that 🙄🙄🤯🤯🤬🤬. Spurs are in our hearts, Spurs are in our blood, and Spurs are our love. So, regardless of owners, fan vitriol, or otherwise, it’s ALWAYS #COYS 🩵🩵

Basic principles of playing a high line- 1) stay as high as possible while there is pressure on the ball. 2) if a opposition player escapes the press, the defence must drop off together and quickly. (Otherwise, with no pressure on the ball, it’s all too easy to play a ball in behind in acres of space) The goal was conceded because- A) the press failed B) the line didn’t drop quickly enough

While I know he has achieved amazing results in the 2nd season everywhere he has gone, the PSL has tended to take much longer as you build your squad and learn. Guardiola the only one I am aware to do that, and look at MC spend. Klopp took 4 years to win his first trophy before winning the league after that. Arteta is in his 5th season and still trying to win the league, but won a trophy in FA Cup once. At the high end of the table, clubs who have stuck with their managers, and can see improvement in the team, have generally gone on to win the league. I think Ange will get Tottenham there, assuming Levy backs him across the next 4-6 windows, with hopefully knicking a trophy here or there on the journey.

Why are people speaking like this is some isolated result? The way we ended the last campaign was dreadful, our record against top 10 teams is abysmal, our away record is terrible. We allow opposition to score the same goal against every game, it’s insane! One ball can bypass both our midfield and defence. Ange shows he can adapt as it looks like he has sorted out our set piece frailties, so I am hoping he can tweak the tactics also for different games and situations. I am happy we got rid of the dead wood, we only bought in one ready made PL starter, I am hoping the kids come good sooner rather than later as the games start to pile up.

My god! How entitled have some of this fan base become. We lost 1 game out of 3 and the last 2 games at St.James park we got battered. Sunday was disappointing but throwing the baby out with the bathwater is NOT the answer. If we keep calling for the managers head, that will only breed insecurity on the pitch. All ive heard for the past few seasons is 'Levy needs to back the manager'. What about US the fanbase? Isn't it time that we back these players and have a bit of perspective on games. We are never going to progress if we are gonna have a hissyfit when things dont go the way we expect. We have had numerous managers and players over the past few years and this crop is the best in years. Let's breed a positive atmosphere for these guysto thrive in. TTID!!

Who is calling for the manager's head? You're right we've had numerous managers over the years - certainly since enic took over - and the common denominator is enic's failure to back managers in the transfer market (and we've seen that again this summer as - apart from solanke - we've signed a load of unproven kids). Another common denominator has been our chairman's habit of sacking managers for the board's failure to strengthen - so you should address your admonishment about 'sacking managers' at Levy. And afraid to say that claiming this is our 'strongest squad for years' is ludicrous - we've collected just 17 points in our last 14 games, and missed the opportunity to strengthen the squad in the summer. So much so that when you look at incomings and outgoings our squad is weaker now than the one we ended last season with.

great show gents, thanks, really appreciated the measured and grounded chat ! endlessly living in the zone of anxiety and being triggered by every result is unhealthy and the moaning is absurd and boring. the club were an absolute mess when Ange arrived and are now - think of all the management structures and back room improvements as well as going from the most back foot team in the league one season to the most attacking the next - well on track towards continuous improvement which is all any good organisation hoping to be great should aspire to. keep up the good work and back your club and support the team, the results will come. love from melbourne x

Rebuilding the project was supposed to begin under Pochettino, but we all know how that ended. Levy's pattern is predictable: he'll support Ange's rebuilding efforts, but once the team is ready for a leap to the next level, requiring a few world-class additions, he'll hesitate to invest heavily. This cycle, unfortunately, seems destined to repeat itself under ENIC's ownership. It's a sad truth we have to accept: we'll always be the "nearly team" under this management. Another rebuild, another manager, same result. Same old, same old Tottenham. The word "rebuild" is so disgusting to many of us Spurs supporters.😡😡😡.

1) Our form since we beat villa away last season has fallen thru the floor. 2) The summer was the perfect opportunity to give our squad more strength in depth but we failed to do so. 3) When things go wrong on the field at this club - and theyve been going wrong since we won at villa in march - the manager soon pays the price. So lets drop all this nonsense we hear about 'a project' - if we carry on the form of the last 6 months Ange will be gone before the season is out (and we all know it).
