I remember when the Bodyguard option allowed the general to charge. As long as the bodyguard unit didn’t charge, there were some crazy plays where people would have a monster on a massive base charge in and stay close enough to their bodyguard to get the effect.

Would love a video breaking down the universal manifestation lores! Like what each lore gets and tactics to use them more effectively, plus the battlescroll added more counterplay into them so it’d be a neat topic to go over.

Thanks for reccomending this for competitive players only. I tried my first game a month or so ago and there was so much to keep up with

Welcome to AoS! The Core Rules have some great ways to play with limited rules because there is so much to learn. I would start there if I were you!

For Disciples of Tzeentch, I've been picking priority target and placing it on a reinforced block of Flamers. The plan is simple. -1cp to either use a spell to teleport them or redeploy on turn 1, -1cp to use Covering Fire to target their general, and do 19 attacks on 3's and 3' with D3 damage. That's 17 damage on average, which is usually enough to wipe the enemy general immediately. Can't use it every time, but when I can it's a serious problem for my opponent. Even if I can't do it turn 1, I can usually find an opportunity to do it before round 3.

Amazing video as always! Many thanks for the detailed explanation, it is much clearer now. My local shop plays with this rules and being a beginner I felt a bit lost between so many options!

Cities has some good Field Sgt. choices; Galen & Doralia are another drop, but 2 cheap Officars that are handy (along w/ Callis+Toll!) in this free Endless Spells meta. Worried about your Field Sgt. getting sniped out? Take an Assassin in your Sorceress's regiment, & try to do a killer counter-charge when the moment is right! Running a bunch of Humans? Well then pay for a Fusil Major on Ogor, & enjoy +1 to hit on whatever your Cavaliers are pinning while your Fusiliers try to suppress/focus fire down! (Try to keep your FG Marshall (& Cmd. Corps bodyguards) w/in 18" for his relic envoy's order to the knights!) Pretty much everyone except the Duardin have a good Field Sgt. choice in early 2025. All the Duardin are crummy, except for 20 Hammerers + Rune-priest power pairs.

Field sergeant killed me so hard in a game against S2D. 7" move reinforced Chosen with 3D6 charge slingshotted across the board to kill everything. Definetly the strongest option.

Since I only just started AOS and my Karazai list is the only one I've played so far, Bodyguard is the only option I ever took. :D

And it's a good one! I took first with a Bodyguard Karazai list in a doubles tournament last year :)

prized beast is non-unique though, so it can be a hero but can't lead the regiment as you already stated the mega gargant heros! (you often state non hero like at 6:26)
@TenPointTurns2 күн бұрын
That’s true, I usually am thinking non hero since SoB and Ogor mawtribes are a couple of rare exceptions to the rule. There may be a couple more I can’t remember off the top of my head. Thanks for pointing that out!
@sumOfItsPartsByJetКүн бұрын
@@TenPointTurns yep is rather on the rare side but still nice to be aware of the subtle difference. Another example would be Tuskboss on Maw-grunta for Ironjawz which can join a Regiment as Tusk Wrangler ^^

Thanks for your videos. I would love to have a video on pile-ins. Especially since they changed the rules from 3.0. No Retreat + pile in (sorry Killaboss on vulcha), no piling away from a unit and moving to another etc.
@TenPointTurns3 күн бұрын
Pile ins can definitely be tough. I will keep that in mind for the future!
