I am glad that you shared your story with your skin, girl I totally feel you. I've been having issues with breakouts since I was in seventh grade, and I tried everything possible but nothing worked until I took birth control when I go to college. Sadly when I switched to yasmin I got tons of side effects, it gave me such huge mood swings that I had to quit it. So far my skin is pretty clear though. Ahhh such a struggling experience!

Thank you so much for sharing your skin journey with us! I have really bad acne flareups and feel super alone when it happens bc everyone around me has such good skin. so its nice to know others also struggle with it... I have been going to the dermatologist and now on 3 different prescriptions which is finally helping my skin. but those annoying scars last months before fading ugh!

Love it! I would love to see some vlogs from festivals or even group trips. Not sure if that is your thing but when I was there, the festivals and group trips were so fun. I used Trazy for Nami Island-Petit France-Garden of the Morning Calm outside of Seoul, Adventure Korea for the Jindo Sea Parting Festival and Boseong Green Tea Fields, and Goh Travel Korea for the International Fire and Light festival in Pohang ... They range from day trips to longer and were a cool way to meet other new people and do more “all inclusive” traveling. So more touristy in nature but I liked that they had everything planned and arranged transportation and different experiences. Even if you don’t do the group trips, I think some festival vlogs or visiting some of the touristy destinations around Korea would be fun to see! Also, if you love coffee shops and the beach, Gangneung in Gangwan-do was the prettiest place ever especially when they had the Cherry Blossoms.

I have been on the pill for years and years and I decided to switch it up and go on the implant and omg my skin reacted so badly!! I ended up with horrific BACNE like awful and I was just in bits and ended up back at the docs to have the implant taken out and back on the pill now & forever! I'm happy to stay on it as long as it's safe (I do worry if its OK to be on it for years and years but docs keep telling me it's fine soooo). Yay for skin clearing up though, it hits your confidence so bad when your skin is bad ❤️

I used to be on the pill and my skin broke out like crazy. I switched to nuvaring and it’s helped clear all that up. I still get breakouts every now and then, but it’s mostly due to stress. Thanks for sharing your story as well. You’re definitely not alone :)

I get you with the skin battle... I have a skin problem (for 3 years now) and I have TONS of scars all over my body, most of them in my arms, it made me so much insecure, doctors don’t know what cause it yet, I did biopsies, blood tests, I took hundred of pills and vitamins, but I still don’t get better... I hope I can get better like you! I’m really happy for you🥰 Love you❤️ Edit: I forgot to say, they are like big burns, some of them have big blisters, like, really big, and the hurt so much😩 even tho after 2 or 3 weeks my skin falls out, but in the mean time they hurt. Pd: I’ve been watching your videos for a long time now and I wanted to thank you because you always interact with you followers (you answered me tons of times and that makes me so happy) and watching your videos just inspires me to study the korean language more and give the best of me instead of just laying around, so thank you for giving me strength and inspiration❤️🥰

Giiiirl, this happened to me! I've always had great skin but as I gained weight and got stressed, things started changing. TMI but I was spotting everyday, it wasn't bad but it's still annoying that I had to deal with that. My period became super irregular (which wasn't before) and my skin was experiencing breakouts. I went to the Doctors and they put me on birth control and luckily things got better. The birth control I was first put on made me really depressed though but that was fixed but just letting my doctor know and she prescribed me a different one :) Glad things are working out for you both skin and health wise
@amandalarsen96564 жыл бұрын
Loved the vlog. So glad you shared your skin story. I have struggled with acne on and off since i was 18 years old, and I'm now 25. So weird in my teens i didn't have acne, it just suddenly came when i was 18 years old and i wasn't even on the pill back then. but when I went on the pill it got alot better, but my mood got soooo bad, like depression bad. so I had to stop taking them. For some years ago I went on Accutane, and it helped me alot. For some years after stopping on the pill I also wanted to eat clean food, and do all the "right" things science says, when you want to have clear skin. but it didnt do it for me, only accutane helped. I totally know how you feel. What kind of birthcontrol pills are you taking know. I really want to find something that is good for my skin and mood. hehe because of obsessing about eating the right things for my skin, I also sometimes feel bad if I eat something that i know, is not the best for me. And it sucks. Beceause sometimes it is totallt fine that you eat what you crave, as long as its not everyday. All in all I really enjoy watching your vlogs. keep up with the good work! And Oh my your dog is so cute.

My situation is very similar to yours... When i was 21, i went on the pill purely because i was sick of pimples, heavy periods and period pain.. Many years later my doctor said, lets try a lower dosage/brand and my skin went crazy so eventually i went back to my previous brand and everything was amazing again BUT my skin was absolutely destroyed by this other brand. The pill was the greatest thing that i ever did, it still is seeing as i feel amazing on it 11 years later. BUT i do think the pill is a blessing and a curse.. I feel as though yes it is amazing to feel in control of your body and skin but at the same time, you feel as though you can't stop taking them because everything will go back to how it was before or even get worse than it ever was (both period and skin wise), so you start to wonder if you even should have started taking them in the first place. 🤷♀️

I have always had anxiety but it used to be such a small amount that didn’t effect me much in everyday life but once I got my period and they were out of control like my first one lasted 3 months and included extreme back pain, nausea, headaches, heavy cramping, and threw off my balance some how. I went about a year with these Kind of periods so usually 1-3 months on with the 2 or 3 weeks off. I got of birth control and was on it for about 7 years. My anxiety and mood swings got worse tho my periods got better. I was having anxiety attacks from having to go out my tray up at lunch or going out to eat with my family and being in front of the people in the restaurant I had a hard time ordering food for myself it made my social anxiety so bad and I ended up depressed where they put me on medication. They though changing the dosage of my BC would help and it different they tried different brands and it’s didn’t help. So I started doing research and found that some people experienced the same things happening once they started birth control. I talk to my mom (cause she’s like my best friends but still my mom you know) and I ended up off BC (I’m only 19 so the decision was mine but again I felt talking to her especially with her medical back ground) and man does the world feel different to me now. I love going out. I can order my own food and even go out to eat by myself more. Take my dog to park and talk to the people their. My period I guess got used to the schedule it was from when I took the BC so I’m still on the same schedule and I get almost no pain nothing some Motrin can’t fix. So I wish you will with your BC experience
@itsjustlivv2144 жыл бұрын
What is the low dosage both control that you went on? I am having the SAME exact issue! I’m a little older than you and wanted to stop using bc because I’ve been on it for about 7 years. At this point I’m feeling so defeated and rather just go back on it than deal with these breakouts. Very frustrating and can totally relate to this.

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Alani Nu but they have a product called Balance that regulates hormone imbalances. idk what it is about it but if you look at the reviews you can see all the people raving about or their instagram! 😊
@fluffinator37014 жыл бұрын
Could just be hormonal imbalance, so if you check that up you might not have to go on them if you don't have to. I had to start on the pills for my endometriosis, without them I get my period and when I do I get bedridden so whoo :P pretty much forced to go on these until I'm old. My acne has always been centred around my chin, the only time it got better was when I started with the ordinary skincare, niacinamide in particular I believe. Nothing else makes a difference really. It's frustrating when skin acts up but I'm thankful there's something out there that helps :)

when i was in Seoul in April, yellow dust was INSANE and i hate like, huge cystic pimples on my chin/jawline. but i was being a total tourist and eating like crap, too. I think as long as you keep your face mask clean, eat well, and drink a lot of water (it's hard to get used to bottled water but it's just something you have to live with) then you should be fine!!! the biggest problem i had was a sore throat tbh!! So have multiple, clean, filtered masks!
