At 92 years old, my mom still had strong arms and wrists from using her heavy cast iron cookware to feed our crew. She could still handle her largest skillet with one hand. One day, my wife was cleaning the kitchen and needed both hands to lift it! It's like kitchen barbells.

Hi Keith, that cast iron is really heavy. Kudos to "Mom" for keeping in such good shape for so long. I have a 12" Dutch Oven I can barely lift empty with one hand. LOL You and Jeanette have a great time in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I would love to do that trip again. Maybe we'll meet somewhere along the trail when we're headed in opposite directions on our trips home. I would like that alot. Happy and safe trails to you folks. BTW: Tell Jeanette to go ahead and eat the roll. Life's short so just do it. And as far as you? Stay off of those dinosaurs or you might get warts on your ....!! 🦕

Now you're good to go. Cooking in cast iron is really easy and I think that the food tastes better. Good video thanks for sharing with us 👍

I really like my cast iron. It's a bit heavy for my gross vehicle weight limit. But I'll always make adjustments so I can take it along. I hope someday to cook you a dinner with it. Until then ... Happy and safe Trails my best of friends.

Gottta take ya to task John , when you say a new way of cooking . Cast iron pots have been around since dirt was invented 😉 . Have some in the cupboard that have been in the family for quite a few generations. Lots of great meals cooked on them . Don’t take me to serious John , I just wanted to rattle your chain a little 😂🤣😂 . By the way I take flaxseed oil along with my daily pills and it also works great for seasoning. Take care and I’m looking forward to some of your recipes.

Hi Mr C. I meant a new way for those who have never tried it. LOL But I see how I wasn't clear. Mom didn't like cast iron so all the family heirlooms went elsewhere. I would love to have a couple of pieces, but oh well. Flaxseed is very good for you and makes a great seasoning oil. Good choice. I have a bag of seed in my cabinet for mixing into coatings and added to bread crumbs for use as a binder. I probably won't be doing anymore dedicated cooking vids. I'm not good at it and folks don't seem to like them. I may, from time to time, just do a segment as part of something else tho. Thanks so much for sticking around while I get my self together. It's been a bad year and I appreciate your friendship.
