Great battle for both players! Don't forget that manifestations go away when the caster of them is destroyed. So even if KO could charge after being setup, the cogs would not have been there to be charged.

Dunno if this gets picked up, but the KO Admiral can pick a flagship(the ironclad) and give it all out attack for free. should be getting it every turn making your cannon much more reliable

Celestium Burst Grenade lasts the whole turn, but with how lackluster Skywardens and Endrinriggers are on the offense, the Combat Phase doesn't lend much value to that Artefact. Also, Manifestations disappear when their summoner dies. I wish Thunderers for days wasn't the play, but Skywardens and Endrinriggers just don't do enough. The boats are only in exceptional danger (And thus justify Endrinriggers) against significant shooting. Getting into combat with it is just a bad idea. Great battle report. I really enjoyed it. :D

Filth Spewer is one die per model in the unit, not 7 dice all the time.

what happened to the videos where each of the phases was summed up through a voiceover, and without the dice rolls (only this unit took x damage, usage of command point, etc), and a recap at the end of each turn with the thoughts of the players on the actions they just did. That is something that I actually miss, since it made the videos smoother and shorter.

In all friendship of course and just to bring a tactical argument, I think that there is a significant omission on turn number 2 of the StD player, who had one command point left, and who could therefore have given the order to Archaon "Power Through to put a few BMs to the Admiral, but above all to disengage (while remaining on the objective it was quite possible). Thus, it is unlikely that with an unengaged Archaon, Karl would leave the turn to the StD player. Archaon could also have rallied, and would probably have been within range of his Chronomantic. M2C

KO is one of my favorite factions in the game. I am very concerned about how they will do in this edition. Without priests, no wizards, the New manifestations being so powerful, the reduction of the range of the units, and the new Passive Guarded Hero rule Effect: If this Hero is within the combat range of a friendly unit that is not a Hero: • Subtract 1 from hit rolls for shooting attacks that target this Hero. • If this Hero is Infantry , they cannot be picked as the target of shooting attacks made by units more than 12" from them. Yes, KO gets a nice movement ability but not sure it is enough when you are in the negative on the items I listed above. Fingers crossed for a strong showing, I really love KO and hope that I am worrying needlessly.

You sum up perfectly my fears. You forgot they basically don't have Battle traits either as they just describes how the ships work on that page. Oh and the artefacts are only Once Per Battle. This is purely outrageous. I understand the nerf of shooting in the game but they succeed to even gut the melee units, Skywardens even losing 1 attack and being overcosted for a 2 Health/4 Save unit. This unit was already replaced by the Endrinriggers most of the time in 3rd edition... As a battle trait, I was expecting something like "shoot in combat" for the whole army (it wouldn't have been that insane anyway). Very concerned as I love this faction so much.

Yeah, they are pretty weak right now. :/ Still, my Kharadron Overlords are my main faction. Rain or shine, I will sail the skies most of the time as I collect to play Stormcast Eternals as a secondary.

I had a hard time figuring out how you complete "Take the flanks" before I noticed that territories are not always both half of the board. In this case though, Carl had only the left side touching enemy territory, the right side was wholly within his own right ?

Real good game! But I see the KO could deffinelty done some small tweaks here and there in the choices with quite noticble impacts, atleast making it a minor win :) BUT KO is a tricky army to play! I have KO as one of my 7 armies for AoS, and my favorite just because it's tricky to use and face ^^

Keep hearing this rule of the loser of the attacker defender roll deploys first. Where in the rules does it says this cos all I can find is attacker deploys first not loser deploys?

Redeploying doesn't currently restrict shooting with covering fire, although it should. Covering Fire tells you to 'resolve shooting attacks', not to 'use a shoot ability' which is where the restriction regarding running is. I'd love to see this get cleaned up by GW in an FAQ.

at 18:01 if i understand the core rules right you cannot do a battle tactic if you double turn, even if your opponent chooses you to double turn, right? so the s2d player shouldnt be able to attempt one

if you win priority and choose the double turn, you cannot pick a BT. if a double is given to you by the other player, then you can
