I feel lucky. I’m 5’-9” average Ht for soldier in WWII. I fit just fine. You are doing it right though. Modify the repro seat. And leave the original steel alone. I have seen guys cut into the tub. Which just seems wrong.

I have seen this done several times, but they also had to modify the rear fender well. Seems as though Bob did not have to do that.

Good idea. Question dad was at Pearl Harbor, Navy. I am getting a Shore Patrol 1943 GPW. Where would I find a period correct siren for it? Thank you...oh, a bit off topic but you know your stuff. Apologies.
