Seat Toledo Water leak door repair

Did this and I can confirm it works. Problem is that the seal under the steelplate is gone bad. It will work just like intended with this kind of fix and water will end up in the right place.

so the water being let in to the top will find a different way out? I was going to redo the whole seal with butyl tape

Helló nekem a bal és a jobb első ülés előtti rész a gumi szőnyegek alatt nedves a kárpit akkor nekem is ez lenne a problémám? mikor kinyitom az ajtót esőzésnél a küszöb szokott vizes lenni, onnan szivárog az utastérbe?

Only the bottom is being sealed; the water comes in from the top - seems like the water will be trapped and then will cause corrosion. I have Seat Leon 2005 and i get water inside the car in the back driver's side and on the left i hear water shaking when driving and cant seem to figure where is the holding place.

They should seal the whole thing including the top, I think you're right. The thing is that you should pour water onto the window and see exactly where it's actually leaking.

No it is right process. There will never be more than few mm of water in the doors because there are special drains in the doors. these drain holes as to be clean once per live per 1000000 cars(really rarely get stucked and keep water in the doors). Who is doing complete doors it is waste of time. This works... Only ther is no need to take out window controls, you can unplug it later when you take out interier part out...There will be 15cm gap when oyu are removing it...

Problem is external windows seal. This plate/panel must not leak too.

Köszi a videót, az enyémnek is ez a baja...A leszigetelt résznél, ami kijönne víz, az hova megy el? Az enyémet épp most csinálom.. Csak felmerült a kérdés, hogy vajon hova megy az a víz... Ott marad bent, vagy van valami rés ahol kimegy?

Az ajtók alján van 3 kifolyó azon keresztül távozik, nem árt azokat sem egy hajlékony dróttal kitakarítani

Ugyanez a problémám volt. Annyi hogy nálam már a hangszóró alatti résen folyt be a viz.. Ugyhogy ez a szilikonozás nálam nem segitett volna, mert ott jó volt a tömités. A hiba oka a következő volt: Az ajtó zsanér kopásának köszönhetően az ajtó picit ilyenkor lejjebb kerül, és ezáltal az ajtó alatti gumi tömités (bezárt ajtó esetén) eltorlaszolja a 3 vizelvezető nyilást. Akkor tünt fel ez az egész, mikor kinyitottam a kocsi ajtaját, és akkor távozott el belőle a viz, mert kinyitott állapotban a gumi tömités ujra szabaddá tesz a 3 nyillást.

That's not the best solution. It's very difficult to disassemble the door to fix window/central lock. Better remove old seal and use butyl glue cord.

Window seal and internal plate seal (that internal plate leak because seal is old)

This is complete nonsense. You have to remove both panels from the doors. Additionally you might have to take out the window aswell. At the bottom of your door you can find the drainholes wich might be covered with sand, dust and whatever crap comes with rain. Take out the rubber from you door and you can clean the drainholes easily now. Basically strip your door and then just clean. Takes some time tho but it will take way more money if you don't do this maybe once a year or so.

The drain holes could help to the problem , but for the leak problem this is the solution, i gone explain why, water does not fill the door until it leaks...no! The panel routes the water outside past the rubber, thats why it leaks ... doing this the water does not route out but in to the door and tru the door holes .... i hope i explained myself

Cleaning the holes won't change the fact that water is leaking in between the two panels - as seen at 8:32

Baromság az egész a vizet nem bent kell tartani hanem ki kell engedni... Ha letömited rendben nem folyik a kárpitba de attól a viz benne marad az ajtó aljába. inkább utat kell engedni a viznek az ajtó alján...
