So you think it can’t be improved then? OK. It’s good, but it’s not perfect. Hard plastics on the door, hard armrests at the back, no climate at the back, manual boot, and auto speed recognition that reads signs on side streets and slows you down despite being on a faster road. Pretty much spot on. I was going to film a review of mine this weekend and it's more or less what I was going to say. I haven't had the infotainment bugs you've had or accidentally touched the steering wheel buttons though.

Does it still have the battery safe mode issue? Have they resolved the charging issues both AC and DC?

@@SEAT-CUPRA-NET The VW website still has the battery safe footnote against a range of VW EVs. Exactly what is meant by it is not explained and despite asking VW have never responded as to why it kicks in and on what criteria so it is an unmanageable risk

Very good review. I thought this would be a “fan boy” review because of your channel name. We (wife & I) have been EV drivers for 7+ years. Found the VZ surprisingly disappointing. It weighs 2 tonnes so not as “punchy” as expected. Seats were excellent and the best thing about the cabin! Otherwise seemed very overpriced for an average cabin. No powered tailgate. Ok at £30k. Not at £45k! And pano sunroof so strongly tinted midnight blue did not brighten cabin. Instant throttle response a feature of all EVs. Well balanced review though.

I've had a Born V1 for just over 6 months and it's due to be replaced soon. I was hoping the VZ would just be that little bit better on the brakes, which other than the overall range on my 58Kw battery is all that's really needed to make this a really fun car. Sounds like Cupra just missed the bullseye on the brakes, which is a shame given the intended market.

The Display is new (gen2) right? The old one was 12" and the new one 12.9". I find nothing about that improvement on the Cupra pages.
