Seattle losing its soul and history. Sad place to be right now. It’s the new SF

This news has a bit of a melancholy feel for me. I worked as a janitor at the Grand Illusion, (then named the Movie House), about 50 years ago during my misspent youth. I had keys to the place and I would be paid for 3 1/2 hours of work as long as I completed my tasks between the closing and opening of the box office I could usually get it done in less than two hours. The owners of the theater at time were Randy and Pat Finley, very cool bosses to work for. The best part was that the Movie House had a reciprocal attendance agreement with other theaters all over town. I went to the cinema almost every night to watch films, for free! This was before movie rentals, digital projectors and streaming. To this day, actual analog film, rare as it is, still holds magic for me. OK, this old film buff will stop uselessly reminiscing now.

Seattle has sister cities in Vietnam and México. Might as well move there. Seattle is cool, but not Babylon USA.
