Can I use nori sheets for this after I cut it up into soup?
@MelinaKimАй бұрын
@@Mich-pm6vi Thank you so much!🥰🥰 I wouldn't recommend using nori. Nori is usually used for sushi rolls and has a quite different texture and flavor. Nori will dissolve in liquid, while miyeok is thicker and holds up well when simmered :)

@angxlic6998 ай бұрын
I would use some soy sauce or miso soup

Yes! An alternative could be light soy sauce and you can also add salt to taste :)

Unfortunately, you can't use the roasted seaweed sheets. Make sure to use dried seaweed :)

That's because seaweed sheets are made from different seaweeds.

Can I use seasoned seaweed no soaking
@MelinaKim26 күн бұрын
Seasoned seaweed usually isn't ideal for miyuk guk because it can alter the flavor of the soup. It's best to use dried seaweed and soak it before cooking. This helps achieve the right texture and taste :)
@Irys19976 ай бұрын
Needs protein. Ribeye is best. It doesn't need to be a ton but anything adds a lot of depth. Also a bit of Korean beef stock powder

Can i just boil the roasted seaweeds directly?
@MelinaKim5 ай бұрын
Yeah that is fine - just make sure you boil for long enough to make sure seaweed gets tender :)
@_Anna_Nass_8 ай бұрын
Seaweed is especially high in iodine though, so be careful and don’t eat too much at once or you may get iodine poisoning.
@pods1439 ай бұрын
Tried this but 0 depth. Not for me. Added egg to the leftover. Kinda improved the flavor.
