I remember hearing the stories about the Book Of Clearsight all my life, Mostly from my mother, Queen Diadem. She loved the tales about how Clearsight saved the tribes, over and over, during her life and long afterward as well. Sometimes the prophetic instructions were vague- a sense that there was danger along the coast, so everyone should shelter inland during the night of three full moons in the reign of Queen Cicada of the Hivewings. Or sometimes they were specific: apparently there was a full list of who should inherit the Hivewing throne stretching for generations yet to come. Mother was impressed by that list; it saved a lot of infighting and bickering between Hivewing royal siblings. Silkwings, of course, rarely bicker- but each time a queen chooses her successor, there are inevitably hurt feelings. I was lucky i only had brothers so i never had to worry that mother would choose someone over me. (finishing soon!)

Beautiful! I'm crying! I wished Queen Monarch had lived to the end of the "Lost Continent" arc. She would have been happy that Blue, Cricket, Sundew, Swordtail, Luna, and their friends defeated Queen Wasp and freed her tribe from the rule of the HiveWings.

This MAP is amazing :0 absolutely gorgeous and one of my favourite songs- Monarch is a very underrated character, I wish we saw any more of her. She was so interesting to me in the guide book, like, (semi spoilers ahead) I love the way she was the mediator between Wasp and Sequoia and genuinely thought that they could all be friends. I feel like Queens genuinely being friends and having fun together is a totally underrated concept.

finding this was so beautiful, while i have the guide book, i havent read the silkwings yet and question a lot about Queen Monarch or where she is (if any family members). This is is really good! I guess i should have waited until i read the pantala section of wings of fire but i do have the guide to the tribes book. Is that what you are talking about? If that isn't it then i need to find it so that i can read her story. She must have quite the sad story if she grows to be the controlling, seclusive character i heard she is in the pantala books. Though she probably is inwardly struggling and sad when no one is looking. Either that or she is so hardened by her experiences that she doesn't care anymore

The Guidebook confirms that some of the dragons who flew to Pantala were RainWings It also confirmed that RainWings didn't go pacifist until two generations after Drakstalker's time, THOUSANDS of years after the Pantala migration Which means that the ones that came to Pantala were the scary, warrior RainWings, not the sloth-loving hippies we know & love..... The certainty explains the LeafWings

I like the idea that Queen Monarch was actually a strong and noble leader who tried to protect her tribe. But in typical Wasp fashion she manipulates the silk wings into believing that their Queen willingly obliged into surrender, when Wasp was actually preventing monarch from getting a say in the whole ordeal in some way. -Gosh I wish this were canon

its important to remember people for their motivations and not the effects other people did with their decisions. many might consider Monarch a ditsy bad queen. but everything she did was for her tribe even giving up the crown as she truly believed it would keep her tribe safe. its wasps fault that Monarch's choice made out of love was so perverted

Am I the only person that kinda dislikes monarch? Even after clearly knowing that Wasp must have been up to something after refusing to show evidence, she still gave up her entire tribe because somebody told her that is was ‘destiny’. Map is still amazing though!

I just thought of this there could be decendents of the royal silkwing family out there. Flamesilk is genetic and if Queen Monarch had any sibling who were also flamesilks they could've had dragonets and flamesilk is genetic so unless there were other flamesilk bloodlines wouldn't that mean that some of the current flamesilks be related to the royal silkwings?
