firstly may I thank you for liking my video and engaging with me. I will definitely do another one! Sorry about the sound- I thought the same myself and have decided to invest in a cheap microphone. Honestly, a couple of quid for a mic will improve the sound enormously. listening back, i realize that i never finished my point about ‘fun fact, joking, laughing, good time’. it’s too late now but these are common elements in the orientation stage of the narrative genre- story telling in other words. That is what I meant to say. There are one or two other things I would say differently too. Next time, i’ll write a script! Once again, thank you so much for your comments. Sorry, I am not on Twitter, or anywhere else but here❤

I enjoyed your analysis! The spreadsheet is helpful~!! She said 'fun fact' that she made breakfast~ I wonder if she generally doesn't make breakfast and Sebastian usually got his own? The food theme coming up so much I think is because she's a mom and is daily planning and serving meals--especially with a teenager. I think the word 'collasal' is the size listed on the menu--small, medium, large, collasal.

I'm curious what your actual name is and where you got your training. Because it sure seems like you need to brush up accents and cultural aspects. You missed quite i few things here. Wasn't =Wadn't is totally regional and very very very common in the south. Same with "got up". The "colossal" popcorn is very very likely what Sebastian called it. Asperger kids are KNOWN for big words and ask any parent of an Aspie and they'll tell how much vocabulary they learn from their kids. Aspies love big words. She seems to be repeating what he called it. Nothing nefarious at least there. The not saying his name isn't alarming at all.... look at historical data of innocent parents ESPECIALLY moms Not using the kids names. It's my baby or my son/daughter etc. Many psychological reasons. As a mother myself i can tell you personally it's like connecting a loved one name to "dead" after they passed. It's HARD to do. To put the words together. It's also distancing but grief distancing. Because the mental state of a mom a missing child is one that protects itself and can only hold so much at a time. Talk to grieving parents. They'll tell you. I also suggest spending some time in us south before attempting to analyze southerners on a public platform. It's 1000% biased if you do not.

At 1:08, when KP says "We went and picked up our niece", KP looks at CP, seemingly for confirmation. CP has said he wasn't there that day, so why would she look at him to confirm a detail of that day? At 1:41, KP says "We went to the bowling alley, and then from there, we went to dinner." At that point, CP does an eye movement as if he's checking his memory to ensure KP is stating the correct timeline, and then CP does a confirmation nod. I find this odd because CP wasn't there that day. Why does he feel the need to check and confirm the timeline when KP would obviously be the authority on her own whereabouts that day?

In scripted stories people forget to invent the emotions and the sensory details, therefore they sound cold and detached. Also, hoaxed stories have long introductions but short endings. Notice how she elaborated about unnecessary popcorn but failed to report any emotions after she found him gone. This is 100% a scripted story they agreed on.

I think she’s making an extraordinary effort to let us know how much food he ate, and how much food was involved that day. I don’t know what a Colossal Popcorn is. A brand? A size at the movie. What is BJ’s? They went bowling. I have taken grandkids bowling and let me tell you every time they want food. Doesn’t matter if we ate a meal before. Or planned eat after. She really doesn’t describe the bowling event at all. Well, that I’ve seen.

A colossal popcorn is the size of the popcorn which she alludes to with her hand gesture. BJ's is a warehouse type store where you can buy in bulk. I don't know if you are familiar with Sam's Club store but its the same type of store. I think she lingers on the food 1. To let everyone e know what A good mother she is and 2. To distract from the fact that he was lost on her watch and she imo is lying. 11:22 Cheers from Florida.

Thank you so much for covering this for Sebastian. I’ve been binge watching your channel since discovering you recently and I love the detail that you offer. If at all helpful - I (unfortunately) am someone who uses the phrase ‘I was like…’, and realised I use that to express inner monologue as well. So Katie saying ‘I was like, I don’t care what you’re doing in there’ could well be inner monologue and if we believe her, I think it could mean she heard a thud around 10pm and did nothing about it until she went to bed around midnight. Or the rest of that sentence could be ‘I don’t care what you’re doing in there but you’d better quit/stop, or else!’ type of threat. She possibly heard a thud, flew up the stairs whilst on the phone and something occurred then perhaps? It might explain the long phone call and the missing time, to a degree.

Fascinating and insightful. You should review the 3 interviews now. Her ending changes. “When I woke him up he was gone” … that was her first statement. I felt immediately that the words meant, he was deceased… Interesting that you said she made a big point of 6am Monday morning… I believe the events occurred when she told him off between 9 and 10. As far as bedtime dialogue, in her first interview she is vague about where they were in relation to each other when she said I told him time for bed. His response was “Yes maam” in that first interview. I too think someone else was there. Another language profiler thinks that he was punished by Katie and perhaps locked outside with no shoes on at Chris’s suggestion to teach him a lesson. I too think food could be involved. I have a child with Autism that can self soothe and regulate with food and chewing. The colossal popcorn and grocery shopping and steakhouse dinner. If he was eating again at night that could start conflict with a mum that’s had no support for 3.5 weeks
@Plingu698
@Plingu698 4 ай бұрын
yes, i think you are absolutely right about Katie being unsupported. she is clearly not a bad person, and i think she truly regrets the outcomes of her actions, albeit privately. in public she is far more coy about what happened. i don’t go along with the ‘locked outside’ idea. to me it seems as though the evidence points to a bedroom lockdown escape.

Thank you SO much for making these videos! I’m subscribing to your channel right now. I love linguistics and statement analysis and I can’t get enough.❤️ And I’m so glad you’re covering this particular case because there’s zero physical evidence on this one, so their statements are the only clues to this mystery. Body language experts are getting this one wrong, and there are not enough people focusing on their WORDS. I appreciate your channel and your work, and I hope you continue to do more 😊

This case is dumbfounding. I cannot for the life of me get a good feel for which one of the adults in this boy's life did something to him, but someone either has him and they know who it is, or they know where he is and nobody he knows has him. It would be super interesting to see what their bank accounts look like (just to see what they've spent money on). It seems super strange to me that she's kept this boy alive and safe and seemingly well cared for until 15 years of age, and now he's just gone?! I am so invested. This video by the way was very helpful for me. I love linguistics. How we interact with each other is very telling. Definitely do more! I would love to see someone analyze the father and the stepdad, too!

The biological father seems to me to be as honest as the day is long, and a straight talker. If this were a novel, therefore, he would ultimately be revealed as the culprit, but in real life, no, he is just an honest, good man, and it is heartbreaking to see him go through this.

Please find her interview she did with, I believe, Nancy Grace. In the first minute or so she is telling the story of how when she awoke, she looked around for Sebastian. Anyway, she calls her husband and its the way she says “I can’t find him”. Listen to her emphasis..its not on “find”, its on “can’t”. It sounds like she was expecting it, almost as if she tells him “I told you so”. Like it was expected!! Did they have a fight? Was it over food or bedtime or both? She wasn’t surprised she couldn’t find him that morning…she half expected it. Listen for yourself and decide. It sounds like “I told you so!”

i did watch the nancy grace one, listening for something to transcribe but Nancy doesn’t give them enough time to develop their answers. she wanted to clear up some niggling questions and so I understand why she had to be direct but it didn’t produce even many and long sentences let alone paragraph-sized chunks. i agree with you about Katie’s voice. when she says ‘HE’s not in the house’ in the first interview, you can hear the genuine panic in her voice. Her tears are genuine too.

I like this vid. I love looking at different sciences to analyze people. I do not know much about Linguistics. I felt that I did not have a good understanding of what you were pointing out linguistically and I did not grasp all of the connections of linguistic examples. There were gaps that made the analysis underwhelming to me. I think I would have understood better it you approached it as more of a lesson and indicated what each item meant in microanaylses that would help me build a foundation to better grasp the final analysis. So basically my analysis of what you concluded is that she was using language to skirt the truth in a way that was manipulative? I am used to Body Language from watching The Behavior Panel. The aspect I like with the BP analysis is that they tell us what the individual body motions (may) indicate. I would like more of these videos! I enjoy learning and look forward to watching any more that you present. Thank you. Your student.

April 9: my 4th watch - she’s giving extra details. He’s very still but then he nods his head when she says “Then we went out to dinner”. As if he was there OR - what? It’s the right storyline? And he’s doing some swaying/rocking! He seems sedated too. Eyes half closed. So - the linguistics are right on! And it’s about food, the amount, the times for eating, eating out, snacks regulated, and of course the cost. Snack foods have doubled in price in 2 years!! My bag of chips was $2.99 pre-COVID, now the same bag is about $5. And my income hasn’t increased by nearly double. I imagine that Katie has bought a LOT of regular food (she & Chris are both heavy - THEY eat) and a considerable amount of snacks, which I’ll bet Sebastian eats day & night. My teenage son was the same way, I think they all are “bottomless pits” for food and that’s Normal. Chris has made this another “problem or offense” and tried to regulate Sebastian’s food intake - he’s given that up as apparently he’s hardly in the home. So Katie thinks it’s her duty to monitor Sebastian’s food/snack intake. I’ll bet a million $$$ that Chris has added up the food costs of feeding the boy and has instructed Katie to “cut back on the feeding of her son” especially the Snacks because it’s costing too much. He can’t fill that bottomless pit like he does with his crane. Geez, he’s really a piece of crap isn’t he? I’m speculating but it makes common sense to me as a home life scenario. NOTE: Today I dug into Hansel & Gretel tales (variations) and found that in Europe during the 1300’s to 1900’s most families suffered food shortages and it was impossible to feed all their children. Many fables came out of this scenario - including parents outright abandoned their children in the woods. Horrifying. The conundrum is that adults are mandated to reproduce yet the care and feeding of children requires a high price in space and resources. Then their religious beliefs included “Go forth and make many children” or something like that. The children and women always pay the price. I know this is a very long Comment but these people have gotten under my last nerve.

The neighbor’s camera would have picked up the coming or going of any vehicle from the house, right? So, Chris couldn’t have come home during the crucial time frame that Sebastian went missing unless he parked elsewhere and arrived on foot. If that’s the case, there are only a few options that would account for Sebastian leaving the house during the night or early hours of Monday morning. On foot or in a container. That sounds harsh. But I’m trying to find more about the claim that trash collectors said the trash can was heavier than usual, leading to the search of the landfill. I could have my facts wrong or be confused about something. Any thoughts?
