The ending of this quest was so strange. It felt like it should have had multiple different possible endings and this one would’ve been the “bad” ending like if you’d picked every bad choice throughout it. It seemed super out of character for him to do that because he hadn’t done anything remotely like that up to that point.

sebastian is single-mindedly focused on saving anne. his uncle had completely given up on her and repeated to both of them that there is no cure. sebastian is the embodiment of slytherin ambition and determination, so he saw his uncle as just something in the way of his goals. we see him make the same impulsive, angry decision when he casts imperio on the goblin and makes it slit its own throat. the goblin was a threat to anne. his uncle was a threat to anne. thats all he sees them as.

This is what I don’t understand. They never gave any reason for why Solomon was so against Sebastian trying to help Anne. He was just antagonistic for no reason.

@@razrv3lc I think maybe because he was an auror so knows an irreversible curse when he sees one? Maybe he really was looking out for Anne, and tryna manage her expectations

@@razrv3lcits pretty easy to see imo. hes insanely close-minded. when mc tries to have a reasonable discussion with him about curing anne, he IMMEDIATELY shuts it down and refuses to talk to us further. he seems to be the type to refuse to take in new information. if something doesnt line up with his ideals, he thinks it shouldnt be allowed to happen at all. if the st. mungos (who he knows and understands) say she cant be healed, he says she cant be healed. if dark magic (something he doesnt understand or know anything about) says she can be healed, he damns it all to hell because its not what HE believes. hes a very horrible man, and though i wouldnt say he deserved to die, i understand what led to this moment.
