Time is nearly a full second off Merc from Last Week anyway. F1 testing doesn't tell you that much about pace unless you have literally driven in an f1 car or have experience in Aerodynamics or motorsports.

So after comparing this lap with Bottas' fastest time from last week, I noticed a couple things which tells me there's a lot more pace in that Ferrari. So Seb was clearly in a lower engine mode. He barely went over 300kph and if you compare the upshifts in both videos and you'll notice the Mercedes' revs climb faster. Seb also goes on the brakes earlier at every corner and downshifts slower than Bottas did as well. The Ferrari also looks like it's heavy through the corners, so this was most likely not a low fuel run, not to mention that track conditions were worse during this session. I don't want to get my hopes up, but there's definitely a lot more pace in this car. Will it be able to beat the Mercedes though remains to be seen

The car looks heavy because this car still handles like a "dog" which means: - very lazy and flat-footed - the Merc is on its toes all the time, dances around way more + it's more agile - understeery as hell They need a much better suspension wich is a bit stiffer and more precise/direct. You aren't the fastest when your car is 100% planted, draggy and lazy -

Rumour has it Ferrari is bluffing big time, they ,were using very low engine setting and using the PU consistently at a lower level. Toto Wolff after the testing in Barcelona said "the GPS data indicate that Ferrari could gain a second by using a less conservative engine mode" To which Binotto replied "They seem well informed of what we are doing” , “but that is not the reality”. Who knows what's going on !? But i really hope they are bluffing 😁
