Thanks for the tip about using the Magic Eraser take take out marks on plastic vacuum parts. I just used on my Miele and did wonders.

What a gorgeous cleaner that sebo Felix is now Dorian! I am beginning to become a bit of a Sebo fan, even though at the time of writing I am yet to actually use one of their cleaners. :-)

The only negative thing I've found with the Felix is that even on the highest setting it struggles to vacuum my shag pile rug in the living room, whereas the X1 does it better as it really heightens up the brushroll for it to work on the deeper pile.

Despite its many annoyances, if I could take only one vacuum cleaner to a deserted island (you know, the ones with carpets and power outlets) it would be my Felix--best all-rounder in all.

That was quite a transformation considering the state of the main body of the vacuum when you got it. The seller could have reduced the postal costs significantly if he had removed the dust bag. You now have a very good Felix, great result.

+nickart2203 Thanks Nick. He certainly could have saved on postage. I definitely wasn't going to need it 😂. I am extra happy with the result of it. Using the "fun" filter it's called was a good move. It looks modern and I use it as my daily on the ground floor. Everyone who sees it by the front door ask what it is as they've never seen one 😃😃😃😃.

Great job. The Felix looks like a great machine but they are expensive here the States like Henry. Felix new on Amazon is $699.

@@HooverLux Just watched your video again as I've so got the itch to try a quality German machine might even splurge and get a new one as so many used ones look so bad on Ebay with shipping would almost be the cost of a new Dart here. Living in the SF Bay area we have a conservative sized home and I prefer uprights to dragging a canister around. Think it will be like an upgraded Oreck experience. Everyone is raving about them online and how their carpets looks so good. I do have a collection of Kirby vacuums too but love something fast and easy.

Hello, thanks for video. Do you know why the red light next to the beater brush switch would be coming on after a few minutes of use (in beater brush mode) Also does the cylinder unit heat up during use? Ive just bought a used Felix of ebay and both these things are happening. Thank you

The light comes on the head because either there is no contact between the brush roll and the floor or of something is jammed and it stops. It works on resistance, if there is no or total resistance the light comes on.

Thats exactly what I thought you might do - buy a second hand Felix body and fit your ET1 powerhead to it, worked out cheaper than buying all the parts you needed new. Nice Exhaust filter, thats the "Fun" one which would originally have been on an orange bodied Felix, but it looks very nice on the white one too. They are only 20 quid now on the sebo website, but they dont stock the one for mine which is the Rosso, so I might try washing mine when it needs it, but that wont be for a long time as I dont use my Felix very much, its still pretty much as new in my collection room, only used a few times since new, and none of this crappy 700W eco motor nonsense on it either, unlike the current version.

MadAboutHoovers I really like this vac very much. I was very lucky to come across the body part for a good price. I'd already bought the switch and cable to make the mod, but was so much easier when I came across this. I was a bit gutted it wasn't like the X series handle, but all worked out good in the end. I paid 21 quid for the FUN filter, not only was it the cheapest one I could find, but also the one I thought would look really good with the white body. I'm soooooo chuffed with it now.

The Felix is a much later design than the X series,which is essentially 26 years old, and I believe the Felix is also a Vorwerk design, which the X series is not, so although you might have thought the handles were removeable and replaceable as complete parts, this is not the case. The Felix is a nice machine, but I always prefered the X series over it - I guess I like the computer controlled head on the X series, which the Felix does not have, although the ET1 head is a very good one, in that it is manually set for height adjustment and does feel more like it gets deeper into the carpet pile. The ET1 is also versatile in that it can be fitted to the canister models with powerheads, like the K3, the E3, and the D4. I understand that SEBO will be retiring the X series very soon, and I am wondering what will replace it.

I'm surprised. I've always thought that this would be the perfect day runner and if I had one I'd use a canister every week for deep cleaning and my Kirby on the carpet twice per month as I do now just to be certain that it's thoroughly clean. Something that I've noticed amongst most of the guys on KZbin is that most say that they don't use their Felix machines often. I was wondering why.

I love my Felix, though I like the red & white coloured one, however I brought an almost new on e bay in blue for only £100! Best Buy ever, fab hoovers are sebo, though other then the Felix, I do miss my x1 sebo to which I gave away

+Tony Bray I use mine everyday in the kitchen, it’s absolutely brilliant. Does such a good job on the rugs and the laminate flooring. It lives plugged in in the utility room and I use it in my lint in the tumble lol.

I need to know how to replace the dust housing plastic cover mine has cracked on the front plastic and the back of handle inside body. I have the part coming but no idea how to change it any help would be appreciated

Hi ! Thanks for the video. Last year I bought a Miele Complete C3 Powerline with Hepa, Turbo Brush and Parket Twister as you know. I don't know why but I am intrigued by this Sebo Felix. I love my Miele by the way. It cleans everything perfect and the filtration is amazing. It is the best I have ever had and the Parket Twister that you recommended me is amazing. I don't have pets. What do you think, is it worth to sell my Miele for a Felix? Or is the Miele better? I would appreciate very much if you can give me your opinion cause you have tried it personally. Thanks

Hi, I have the Felix and I really do love it. The Felix would be good if you had a lot of carpet as the ET1 head them is very good! Not so good on shaggy rugs, not as gentle a brushroll as the Miele turbo brush, so to be fair, unless you prefer uprights, I’d stick with the Miele, but I do hope you get a chance to try one, you’ll definitely like it x

@@HooverLux Sebo offers brush rollers with softer brushes for more delicate carpets. A Felix and a C3 make a dream team don't they?

@@ontopoftheroof You are right. I have them both and they do make a dream team. I also bought the Miele C3 Electro but it was too chunky and heavy so I returned it. I love the combo of Felix and C3 that I have now. I have to try the soft brushes now !!!!

Hi Dorian ! I just bought a second hand Sebo Felix Premium in Color Fun. I cleaned it and refurbished it and everything seems fine. It works perfectly . But the Powerhead keeps turning of on my very high pile shag rug ( 4 cm pile) as if there was a blockage. Is this normal on very high pile??? I would appreciate your answer. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it does not like shaggy rugs or carpets. If you see on my videos it does struggle, even with the height to max.

But it restored the pile in my shaggy rug . I used it even though it turned of some times. My rug seems like new now. Excellent!

HooverLux Restorations & More I also wanted to ask you if I can remove the little moving roller ( the hight adjusting roller) in the powerbrush cause it has some hair rolled in it and I cannot remove them. The only way is to disassemble the hight adjustment roller ( with springs) and to clean it. It would help me a lot if you told me how to disassemble it !!!!!!!!

It's just hard to believe it's a sealed system. I also noticed that it makes a weird noise at the joint where hose enters the top. Like it was fully sealed there. Anyway, I don't know why but even with its flaws I really like it. Just got another one last week for £100. 700W though so suction power isn't as good. It also has jammed suction slider. It stops halfway and I don't know how it could be fixed.

For some reason their joints aren’t perfect, on the cylinders the wand seals are pretty poor, don’t know why it’s such a shame unfortunately, you never get those issues with older Miele vacs. But yes, the Felix is one of my favourite vacs.

Hi Hooverlux A friend gave me Sebo Automatic X4 its old one blue an yelow loved it so much I went got a new one Sebo Automatic X4 pet its great so I gave the old one to my brother!! Then I saw you Demo with the Felix 1 So I look on Gumtree an saw a Felix 1 premium £50 mint so I brought it looks like New also it came with the Parqiet floor attachment as well 3 other accessoriesI have ordered the two filters the Exhaust filter orange violet an the internal filter So I have New Sebo Automatic X4 I saw it £63 cheaper on line an John Lewis match the cheaper price!! £268 instead of £329I have decide to keep the Sebo Felix up stairs duties an the Sebo Automatic down stairs an Henry garage I have always use Henry great hoover but the Sebo beats and sweeps Really love your videos with the dogs an cat in them gives it a homely feel Keep up the good work certainly converted me to Sebo hoovers Got three Sebo now all within a month!!
