Only had the one sebo felix and i found it a good all round machine that i enjoyes very much.theyre one of those machines that i dont think really age that badly and are still exellent performers in 2024. My one was 2010 if i recall.

The owner may still be in for another repair bill when the very common Sebo issue of the broken mains cable, where it goes through the cable entry grommet, crops up. But I'm sure she'll bring it to you for a few inches of cable to get chopped off and re-fitted to the handle. It is one of the earlier models though - mine's a 2014 and has the more recent design of cable entry grommet, so hers must be a fair bit older than 2014. I dont think most people realise the Felix exhaust filter is actually the fabric cover over the main bin area and think that's just there for decoration. Did she get a new pre-motor filter in the bottom of the bin? - they should be changed too but likely get neglected or forgotten.
