Thomas’ dad was a country star also in the 80/90’s?? His name is Rhett Akins. He and Thomas often write together. I think they wrote two of the cuts on Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous album as well as so many more. I love music but when the artist is a great songwriter as well, I think that’s just bad a**! ♥️ Sebs you also need to do Angels Don’t Always Have Wings by Thomas. It’s beautiful.

I agree that, as much as society preaches to men to climb the financial wealth ladder to afford a family, I believe you only need to be emotionally ready and be resourceful when providing for them. If you don’t have family values, there’s no amount of luxury and income which will prevent them from resenting you or even leave you. All that said, the only wealth I want is a wife and children who love me because I invested in them and bonded with them emotionally and spiritually. There’s simply no greater wealth.

Appreciate your stuff and do try to keep the political comments light, but I just wanted to say - it really isn't counterculture to want a family. It doesn't matter which side of the aisle you are on, this is seen as more than fine and totally worthwhile. The only discussion happening, that people take the wrong way, is around why people are choosing not to. A lot of it is financial instability rather than lack of desire.... but what the younger generations are pushing for is the freedom for that family to look however you choose. Straight or no, biological children or adopted, everyone should get the chance to have the life they want and the love they deserve. And it isn't selfish to not feel ready for kids, or to know you personally wouldn't make a good parent. I think you would agree on all that, though, so this isn't criticism. Just some thoughts on certain popular narratives
