The best Mahindra in my books, maybe the new Scorpio-N can change my mind but I doubt it. Featured here is the top of the Range AX7 L with all bells and whistles and in this case, it's more than enough to make one confident that it was the "bells and whistles"
One thing we did not talk about in the review is safety and yeah it has a 5-star rating from Global NCAP and boasts one of the highest Child safety ratings.
This particular car is priced at R559 999, a bargain for what it offers.

Just bought this car a few days back, can't wait to do my own review and post it, extremely impressive but not without negatives, no car is perfect, but overall, I'd choose this car over and over again; I chose it over the Haval Jolion, H6, and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max, also test drove those, and I don't regret.

I own a Diesel AT AWD top of the line here in India and it’s an absolute delight, at first there was a mild lag (fps) in the 360 surround parking camera but after the update everything works perfect. The diesel engine is very refined, negligible cabin noise for speeds below 60 mph it’s only when you rev hard you can hear the diesel engine roar, it’s got the grunt you’re looking for when you floor it. Turn it to zoom 🏎️ mode and you can literally feel the best of acceleration, braking and handling. City commute (Mumbai) with average traffic gives me around 11 kmpl, Highways it’s 14 kmpl.

Mahindra have done it with this one. Liked it from watching vids from India and was hoping they bring it here. Im yet to test drive it and want to compare it to the Tiggo 8 Pro Max since they are 2.0T's but Mahindra comes in at over R50k cheaper.

Great video as always Sir - thank you. I've been waiting for this for some time now. My mind is on the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Executive model, Haval H6 Ultra Luxury and this Mahindra. I'm still not sure which one to go for honestly. I'm more into lifestyle and technology more than the power and torque and speed but unfortunately I need those since I drive over gravel when going home and it gets muddy when it's raining, so I need a car that will help me in such situations too. Otherwise, thank you for this video Sir - it shed a light.

Thanks a lot for this🙂. Mmmh in that case Haval H6 might be a winner since it is a AWD. The only reason I am picking it over this Mahindra is because you want a car that will tackle tough terrains, if Mahindra's AWD diesel was here I would go for it since I get the advantage of a 7 seater. Tiggo 7 Pro's only advantage in this case is price, it well below the other two but performance does not match.

This is one of my fav SUVs, I would not pick Scorpio N over this, unfortunately its targeted at a different group considering that it can't do what the Scorpio N does (Go further). It's not easy to find those. If I get a GD-6 it will most probably be a new one as most dealerships are not willing to give them out for a review like this to be done and the manufacture no longer has the old ones in fleet🤔

Yeah those parts hanging are quite common in SUVs like this. Just that it's not too many of them. As long as you know which one is the lowest hanging, you don't worry about hitting something as it's still quite high. Agreed, this is an amazing car👌🏾

Did you test the lane keeping assist at night to see if the cameras can detect the faded lines? I would like to see how efficient the system is on such roads, plus you know most of our municipal roads are poorly maintained and difficult to drive on at night

Ephraim my brother. Yes I did. Night and day. It performed so well at night and even in some areas where the lanes are faded it tried it's level best. I think it's one of the best ADAS I have tested thus far.

@@SKIKR Did not find it materially different but this is much better in response, I can close my eyes in this than the other two simply because I also tested it at night and during the day on roads with faded lines. It's actually one of the most responsive, not even Mercedes GLB or Kia Sorento does lane keeping like it🤞🏾

@Sebuwa M wow! Well, a test is definitely required, i drive the P series and the Kia Carnival, and the Kia is miles better in accuracy than the P series, so now I am curious. I love the duster, especially for fuel consumption, but it has very mediocre handking at speeds above 120, very wallowy and not inspiring in the curves. But man, that engine!!! I am just concerned about fuel consumption on the Mahindra, so it will have to come down to whether the driver aids are so good that it beats the dci!! Thank you for your responses. i truly appreciate them, and the content is the best in SA!! You may keep saying that the Chinese have improved, but yerrr, your content has evolved, my brother!! Obviously mercedes has more features and talking about ADAS(auto pilot in ur words) the real autopilot is in Mercedes-Benz. The steering turns more at extreme angles. Which xuv700 cannot. And I get it mahindra offers powerful engine in its segment. But bro mercedes has AMG drive it ones and don't compare old mercedes with present xuv700. They were ahead of time at that time. Compare preeent mercedes with xuv700. I'm not comparing mahindra with mercedes, I'm comparing xuv700 with mercedes coz u said it. Ozem my brother, been away for sometime. Look we need a Diesel as much as this is a much better product that many others outthere. We know Mahindra for it's diesels and they don't miss there.
