Brak informacji: 1.Ile kosztuje nowy silnik i kto jest ich producentem ? 2. Na ile wyscigow wystarcza silnik ? 3. Ile kosztuje caly motocykl ? 4.Jakie sa srednie koszty utrzymania motocykla w sezonie ?

Once again the stress on the "No Brakes". Brakes were banned as they were dangerous. On a Dirt track bend braking = uncontrolled slide.

wouldn't a 450f engine be faster? like out of a honda crf450r...

mickpork This is seriously the most retarded question that I have ever heard. You are in for an almighty shock if you you ever climb aboard a speedway machine.

okay 60hp honda vs 80hp speedway engine (not to mention extra torque from being 11% bigger) and the engine is WAY lighter being air cooled. stick a 450f engine in a speedway bike and it'll feel like a truck.

Lol! Honestly. Some people just don't get it. You're trying to compare a grass cutter against a loco. There are zero similarities. The reason the engines and drive system are so different is because of how they evolved.

With a little modification and open exhaust? bored out to full 500cc? Let's see bone stock close to 55 hp so only need 20% hike to bump into the middle 60s hp .... Would not be a huge difference in speed to current so long as they were not up against one another directly ....in other words from spectators point of view ...I feel like a modern hotted MX motor could easily do this job....of course they are liquid cooled so you would loose some cool looks to a tiny radiator (what 4 laps? maybe get away with barely any thing?) . ...I think the idea has merit! Put all the big MC manufacturers in it running engines based on production bikes? Could get really huge instead of just niche ... Would love to see it tried!

@@jackking5567 they evolved in a time when there were no production engines that could cut it ...My guess is IF speedway was just beginning NOW? Existing production platform motors WOULD be used with good success ... the way it is, is as much tradition as anything else if you ask me. I am not that impressed considering speedway bikes are so narrowly focused ....it surprises me they are not way lighter if the stops are truly pulled for anything goes....I read they are 175llbs? Dang factory Motocross bikes are just over 200llbs ....look at all the stuff that is missing in comparison! Brakes, tranny, suspension linkage, shock, massive front forks on MXer etc etc ....I would think the speedway bikes would be like 120llbs by now if the stops were truly pulled out....WTH? Looks to me it is a cliquish thing they want to keep just like it is ....exclusive and very difficult to break into. Reminds me a LITTLE of how Harley managed for so long to dominate 750cc flat track racing and keep as an exclusive Harley thing....really had folks believing THEY were the penultimate power plant for that form of racing ...various folks did not want anyone (like Honda) messing with the formula either (but of course they finally DID and TROUNCED Harley!) ...but at least there have been other classes in that sport an so various smaller displacement bikes at least could compete on the same track if not same displacement races ....personally I hate one company racing. I would think speedway or something visually near identical COULD become a really popular sport if it were done right... If it were not so WEIRD I might have tried it when younger ...but I swear the way it evolved? It's like intentionally bizarre! I think that's what keeps motorcycle manufacturers out of it to tell you the truth ...the bikes bare no resemblance to any models being sold ... but like I say IF racing on approximately that length track was just now starting up? I bet the bikes would manifest quite differently....but what do I know ....just guessing.....day dreaming

Unless I am really missing something I'd say there no great reason these bikes have to be so bloody exotic and expensive to campaign With just a little imagination and rule changes I'm thinking be so much cheaper to race with barely noticeable speed difference to the spectators using production based MX motors and race gas!.. ...It looks like the way it is a result of cutting edge competition and doing everything possible for an edge PRIOR to the advancement of four-stroke race motors....back when radical things were called for to get some power to the ground ... Ya know? But that was then and this is now when big horsepower is reliably squeezed from same sized engines Mass produced.... Just make it a rule gasoline only ...and while we are at it? a rule just one engine ...ONE clutch per event. Have a weight rule to prevent use of exotic materials.... So the motors get slightly detuned compared to now? so what? As long as it is the same for everyone? Spectators could not possibly tell the speed difference between 65hp and 75hp engines unless they were running in the same race....People could actually afford to dabble into this sport on a budget with the right rules. Consider that a bone stock 450cc dirt bike today puts out close to 55 hp and could easily last an entire season of speedway distance....plenty of potential for more HP too ....bore/stroke to full 500cc, gut the tranny, lose the starter, up the compression to the point of having to use high octane race gas ....a hotter cam and less restrictive exhaust? simple cheap mods ...I'm betting you will be very close in power to the exotic speedway motors being used....and the engine parts from Mass produced production dirt bikes items would keep things pretty cheap AND I dare say really reliable! Using 450cc dirt bike engines also offers that stock wet clutch could be used... I'd love to see this tried! Even in a novice class format. Would really be interesting to see lap time differences

Quote from one discussion board "AMA Pro dirt track 450s make 80+ HP" ....Which loosely/generally are factory tuned versions of production MX bikes

It's happening with formula 2 speedway, 450cc motocross engines in a speedway bike. The problem isn't the power, it's the flywheel. Formula 2 speedway bikes don't slide nearly as wheel, 500cc speedway bikes do, as they have massive fly wheels, that's what allows them to generate the power and momentum to slide. So as fantastically cheaper and easier motocross engines are, they can't produce the same effect, if however one of the manufacturers would increase fly wheel size, that could be something special
