Oh yes, this spot was amazing. I spend hours and hours planning so it was great it was just how I thought it would be, but better, ha ha. Oh yes, never leave the tarp at home, always comes in handy.

Your camps are awesome and I love how you get around our amazing country to show it off to the world. You're genuine and relatable to the kiwi backpacker and all that we go thru out on the trail. Cant wait for the rest of your roadie!! Also, your night time light is fantastic. What are you using to light up your camp?

Thanks so much Richard! I had to smile when you mentioned my lighting. It is the bane of my camping experience. I have a generic camera light bought off Amazon, that has broken as so is held on with, of all things, hair ties. I also use a head torch that I attach to the tripod and angle towards me. One gives diffuse light and the other strong directional light. When I make my millions I might upgrade to something more sophisticated (ha ha).

This is what I love about the NZ bush, if you want isolation, you can get it. It doesn't have the problems of Europe or the UK where there are 1000s wanting to do the same thing, and no problem about one's safety from predators. Enjoyed the video. ATB from the Tararuas.☺☺

Hi Louise. Thanks for the compliments. This is the Tasman Sea, between Australia's East Coast and New Zealand's West Coast. Oh man! I feel for you having so far to travel to woods and the ocean. That makes it a super big mission, and I imagine only achievable when you have multiple days to get away, rather than over night. Glad you can join me for my adventures.

She is too busy enjoying herself, but I always say the same thing to her after "is it time to go home"? I ask her if she wants to see ... and I list off our family members and pets names. She always gets very excited. So I would say she feels at home with me, but looks forward to getting home too.

Oh yes, you've nailed it. She is my shadow through the whole process, and then jumps in the car as soon as I start packing things in, and sits and waits even if I tell her we are leaving in 3 hours.

Hi Phil. Thanks, it certainly was a perfect spot for a relaxing camp. I have looked into BMAC and it appears that there are two transactions from 2 months ago and 3 months ago, but that they were one off donations rather than 'monthly membership'. I hope that helps. You and Indie: 🎵 I'm singing in the rain, just singing in the rain .. what a glorious feeling, I'm happy again .. 🎵. Jawelnofine 😁. What an absolutely beautiful Site .. Wow! Pity though, no surf (not a criticism .. just the Durban 60's / 70's Beach Boy in me .. dormant but not forgotten. At sunrise, a 3 to 4 foot right-hand glassy surf beach break at Addington .. good times ..). A warm Pooch in the bed (mine likes to tuck in behind my knees. Winter, under the Duvet .. Summer, on top. Although, I suspect that I am the 'heat source' and not her 😏) .. irrespective, comforting at the very least. A Super share .. thanks .. and am looking forward to the rest of your trip.
