A large scale conventional war with moving frontlines on a map would be pretty unrealistic for a modern day second civil war in the US. The vast majority of Americans on either side and in between don’t want all out war or haven’t really thought about what it would actually entail. If anything happens it would most likely resemble something like the Troubles conflict in Northern Ireland - pockets of conflict and civil unrest.

First of all Texas has little support for succession and not much support for giving Texas more autonomy even in Texas. And to get it they would have to get it passed in congress. And if it was passed in congress there would be even less support for an invasion of Texas which has not even left. Also how would Texas hold out against the US on such a massive frontline, and why would there be no compromise. If this somehow happened it be pretty likely that their would be a republican uprising like in the video but one side would win quickly.

This is a largely unrealistic scenario. Texas fighting for independence as a United front is first off wrong, there are millions of democrats in Texas who would oppose leaving staunchly, alongside loyalist moderates. Secondly, you assume entire states would secede, but let’s not forget we live under a stronger federal government than we do in the 1800s. States won’t just secede, there will be pushback, especially from cities who trend blue. Having the navy and all of the cities will be a major advantage for the democrats, that’s why I think they’d win. Just my feedback, because civil wars in the US don’t tend to go well for the seceders.
