S.A I was an only child till I was 14. I was just fine and perfectly happy being an only child. I love my brother immensely of course, but not having a sibling while growing up was just fine by me 🤷‍♀️ I know many other only children who feel the same way

When I started a relationship with, now my husband, people asked when he was going to ask me for marriage. When we married people started to ask when we’re going to have a baby. And now we have a baby they ask when the second is coming. It’s so crazy. It’s like the standard questions people always have. Don’t ever feel pressure. I love this video so much! I kinda feel the same and are really happy to hear that I’m not the only one thinking like this!

There is nothing wrong with your kids 5-6 years apart. And there is nothing wrong with having 1 kid. Don’t let anyone pressure you into more kids if you don’t want more. Like I said if you only want just want 1 kid and that is fine.

Finally someone who has the same thoughts about birth control! I always find it a hard topic to talk about it with others, as I do not feel like using pills and a lot of people find this strange. I think that you just should choose the anti-contraception method that feels best to you and others should not comment.

I think it’s amazing how confident you are about telling people you’re not planning to have a second💘 My daughter is 4 1/2 and as soon as she was 1 people were CONSTANTLY asking when I was going to have a second! 😱😱 I was actually SHOCKED to hear how shaming people could be (even people who barely knew me) when I told them I wasn’t planning on it anytime soon (With my business and with channel I wanted to make sure I it was what we really wanted!) I gave up on the idea until this past year, I finally felt ready and now I’m so happy to be pregnant with my second! Honestly though, I’m so happy that I waited until I felt the time was right instead of letting people’s opinions and overall pushiness dictate how I lived my life. I am sure that whatever you and Alex decide will be right for you and by listening to yourself you’re in store for a beautiful life! ⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️

Kids entertain each other so having one child is harder than having 2 in some ways .. my kids always play together when I had my first she wanted so much attention because she was so bored but having my last 2 they are 2 years apart and they play together all day it’s amazing! I don’t think you would ever regret giving your Alexa a sibling is a lifelong friend :)
@Mommyslife21
@Mommyslife21 5 жыл бұрын
Exactly! Her views would change so much after having her second. She would never regret having another child. For me I couldn’t imagine my kids not having siblings I thought I would be the worse mother for not doing that lol because when I’m gone they got each other but if they don’t have siblings it sucks!! Anyways I don’t wanna judge Mimi but her views are all about giving so much attention and loving on one child.. that’s amazing but you can give attention to each child even if you have 3 or 4. It’s more about loving yourself so much you want so much time for yourself than giving and serving I guess. But again everyone is different :)

We had our first baby 5 years into our relationship. Our daughter is actually a month older than Alexa. It took me a while to get to a place where I was ready for a baby due to my parenting philosophy. Naturally people are asking when we'll have another but I'm just not at that place yet again. Our little family feels so 'right' at the moment ❤

It’s been amazing to watch you grow, & be successful.. in your marriage, family & achieving your dreams. I love you & Alex so much. Sending you hugs from across the globe! I loved this video- please do more of these. I usually miss the opportunity to ask questions since I don’t check insta stories often but here are (a lot) of questions: 1. Tips for starting a new business. 2. What are your business principles? 3. In terms of parenting, at the beginning you mentioned you have a parenting style. Could you elaborate? 4. What tips would you give to new mothers to help prepare for maternity and the first 3 months. 5. What parenting books/podcasts/ etc do you recommend? 6. What are your favorite clothing brands for Alexa? 7. What is your parenting philosophy? (This is similar to the previous parenting question) 8. What is your favorite business that you own? 9. Where do you buy most of your clothes, online or physical stores. What are your favorite clothing brands? Ahhhh these are so many questions!!! But hope you at least answer a few. Love ya!!😘💝🎁

My parents had my sister at 25 and 26, me at 28 and 29 and my little sister at 40 and 41. All three of us were planned, now my big sister and I are 19 and 22 and we are best friends, and our little one is 7 and she is the best thing that's ever happened to us all as a family! But everyone is different and it's totally okay to want 0, 2, 6 or 20 children. It is a really personal topic and people should really mind their own business- my parents were really judged for their decision to have a child in their 40s when we were already teenagers... it really made me realize that you should live your life without ever worrying about what people think about you! Love you mimi, great q&a💖

I loved every single answer in this video. I think it's really important that you as such an influential person pointed out how much responsibility a child brings with it and I'm glad you are so aware of that and making other people aware of it by posting this video. Personally I think there are too many people out there who only have children just because that's what you do. Just because everyone has children. But I really love that you put so much thought into this and are therefore not readily going for baby no. 2. Especially as a youtuber who could spend so much (more) time only thinking about themselves and their career, I love that you put so much time and effort in your relationship with your daughter. I'd be really interested in hearing more about your parenting philosophy. I also LOVE that someone as influential as you reminds the world that condoms work perfectly fine as contraceptive. There are too many hormones out there and too many people who have been damaged by hormones and people need to be reminded that there are still different options. And even though condoms are in a way the most obvious contraceptive, we often tend to forget about it. So THANK YOU for reminding us!

Have you ever thought about a second baby from Alexas point of view? You are so close to Lela and have that experience. Would you like that for Alexa. Children learn ALOT from having siblings. Going to school doesn’t replace those lessons and neither does having parents around 24/7. No criticism, just a question x

You are such a sweet, devoted spirit. I admire your giving spirit, and how much you want to pour every ounce of yourself into the love you give. However, friend, you are far too hard on yourself. Life with two children is not that much more difficult. Giving your child a best friend, playmate actually makes it much easier. I put my career on hold (I was in law school), to raise my babies. This is my calling. This is our legacy. These are the hands the you will hold on your dying day. Please don’t feel an overwhelming burden to be the perfect parent. You are enough. Your love is enough. Your sweet touch, eye contact and laughter is all the fuel they need to go into this world feeling loved and confident. Having one child is perfectly fine! But I don’t want you to stop having children because you feel like you don’t have enough to give.

I love your stance on parenting. No judgement whatsoever but I don’t understand how some just decide to have 4 then have them one after the other without really considering how their mental health, physical health or relationship is doing, let alone are the children getting the attention/love they need. Some people are fortunate to have lots of friends, grandparents, etc that love to pitch in and help babysit and help out but I don’t have that. So having children is much more serious of a decision to me then anyone I know. My son is 4 and we actually had a surprise pregnancy so my son will be almost 5 when my second is born. I think it will be a great age space, I’m glad it wasn’t a moment sooner but I’m also glad my son will have a sibling and I think my family will feel complete after this! ☺️❤️

I understand where you are coming from as Im the same way. Super responsibile perfectionist that doesnt delegate. I dont have a child and I dont think I ever will because of my chronic illness (I can barely take care of myself, let alone another human being). By being this was we are putting so much stress on ourselves. Its a curse really. BUT! Do try to loosen up a little. You will still be an amazing parent.

I really appreciate when I meet people who like to do things well done, that's when I feel that I can "loose up a little", otherwise I prefer to take care of things myself. It is definitely something to work on. I thought the same for Mimi while watching the video, good advice!

I feel the same way about having ONE baby girl, for now. People asked if we having another when she was still a newborn...I hate the pressure people put on women asking "are you having another?" It's a very personal decision, IMO. The way you explained parenting was very well put, could've said it better myself. I'm very hands on as well and I want to raise a strong, creative and intelligent girl. The first 5 years are very impressionable. Loved this real video Mimi!

Sex before marriage is unwise advice .sex before marriage, exposes you to pregnancy without a commited relationship, exposes you to sexual transmitted disease, exposes you to spiritual curses, exposes you to sexual relationship with many partners. And exposes the latter effects to the younger generation . Because when two become one is much more than physical, it's spiritual, it's emotional, it's mental. When you love someone, if after marriage sex is a factor . Then you work it out like anything else you work out. But it must be in a relationship that is committed, which means after marriage. Because things can change! especially with the one you love And most of all for God fearing people, It's a sin, and can separate you from God, placing your relationship with you partner without God's blessing and covering.

@@korinamouzaki8930 My world is shook. Breastfeeding for 3 years!? Wow. It's kind of perverted and weird, and for me personally too much time, like waay too much, my tits would fall of... It sounds painful. And why would you give your baby 'another creature's milk'? There are other options too. Every mother does her best in parenting nursing choices and rightfully she should. So each to their own.

@@vina Actually, it s not painful at all. And it is neither perverted nor weird. It has been the norm for thousands of years. The weaning age for human babies is between 2 and 6 years. But I agree with you that everyone can choose what is best for their family. Extended breastfeeding may be not usual, but is perfectly normal.

Botox is way more effective if used preventively. If injected before you have wrinkles it will freeze the muscle and prevent the wrinkles from forming. You can still get Botox after you have wrinkles but it isn’t as effective. It would help but it won’t totally get rid of them. It’s way easier and more effective to prevent them instead of trying to get rid of already formed wrinkles. That’s why so many girls are getting Botox in their early twenties! It’s not because they think they have wrinkles, it’s to prevent them!

Thank you for your honesty, it's great to see more sit down videos from you recently, I've missed them. All the questions were truly interesting and I love how respectful of other points of views you were while answering them. In my current stage of life the most "useful" one was the one on sex before marriage. From the rational point of view I share your opinion in 100%. However, my religion does not "allow" it (I'm not a big fan of religious rules, love and relation with people and God is much more important to me, but still, religion serves me as a guideline and I suppose makes me feel more rooted in my spiritual life). I've researched the topic a little and I had problems finding people that had negative experiences with saving sex for marriage, but then I suppose those people are far less likely to share their experiences. I definitely want to know both sides of the argument as well as possible, before making a decision, so it was good to hear that you know people who have regretted that decision. Much, much love from Poland. Hope to see another video soon!
