Funfact: the reason why Japan has a lot of second hand designer bags especially Chanel is because when women receive it as gifts, they usually feel pressured to sell it. Obviously designer bags are perceived to be flashy and draw attention, and minsan may negative connotation pa yung bags (aka mistress or sugar baby lang nagdadala). Obviously it makes for great second hand shopping for foreigners who want to look for a slight discount on classics.

Really? I'm a half Japanese residing here for 10 years and never heard such a thing lol. Most Japanese people see high-end brands as investment. Also they love to buy tons of gold and jewelry in case of financial emergencies. (My Father would always say that's how old Japanese people think)

When it comes to designer pieces, The Row and old Céline are my go to. Minimalist, timeless, and great quality. Both brands have that understated elegance to it. Other designer items kasi can be tacky. Maganda LV duffle bags kasi classic. Whereas, other LV and Gucci bags tend to look matrony or tacky because of the colors and design.
