The subjective ignorance of casual boxing fans still never fail to amaze. Bivol outlanded Beterbiev in segments of punch stats and connected at higher percentage yet still disregard that. Bivol won on unofficial scorecards, many also had it a draw. Beterbiev didn't win more than 5 rounds in this fight, unless scored one sidedly and depriving Bivol every round. It was a close fight no doubt, but Bivol's skills was the difference. He took and outlasted the relentless nuclear shots from Beterbiev, like no other opponent and still returned fire! His excellency Turki Alalshikh himself called it a bad decision and already eyes for a rematch. They all said Bivol getting knocked out, not a single knockdown was scored. Bivol even stunned Beterbiev occasionally. Bivol definitely showed signs of exhaustion in the fight, where Artur took advantage off and rightfully earned his rounds, it was a close fight for a reason. But objectively, even if you had it either way, Bivol deserved the win by a small margin based on his overall performance, punch stats, output and work rate, to the point where Beterbiev could be haunted by his this victory. A rematch is still the best fight to make, imo. Nevertheless, both fighters should be very proud of their performance, especially Bivol who was slightly more impressive.

Totally agree! They all say Beterbiev won all close rounds without looking at the work rates and outputs of Bivol. This win will haunt Beterbiev's victory and a rematch will be inevitable. It was close, but clear win for Bivol, imo. Can't wait for the rematch! It's crazy to me that the 40yo guy looked fresher and better in the last 2 rounds than the 33yo guy. They're both great fighters and gentlemen though. Much respect. Bivol showed the incredible boxer he is. He's in credibly skilled with more tools than Beterbiev overall. And we all knew Beterbiev NEVER stops and is dangerous from round 1 to round 12. It was a very close fight, but Beterbiev did win the fight. Think about it... Did Bivol look like the same fighter who beat Canelo??? No he did not... Case Closed.

It was a very close call and to be honest, if Artur was a little bit more aggressive Bivol would have got knocked out. There were a couple of rounds where the time ran out and Bivol was saved by the bell. Bivol is very skilful and moves great, great combos and Artur is aggressive and was finding it hard to land cleaner shots and being very careful. Both elite fighters and I like both fighters. Bivol is a great guy and congrats to Artur. A rematch would absolutely kill it!!! Congrats to both fighters! Top level boxing and can’t wait to see them run it again. Now they got a feel of each other, rematch should be more entertaining! Let’s not forget that Artur will be 40 when they do rerun it!

Sorry but what skills? The only thing Artur has ever known is that he is a genetic freak (something they put in the water in Dagestan) that has an Iron dome head and freakish brute power. He walks forward and punches that's literally it. He doesn't have a jab, he doesn't have good footwork, he doesn't have good defense, he doesn't have any counter shots up his sleeve. He literally just swings for the fences and trades punches cause he has freakish strength and a better chin than 90% of people he fights. Artur is still a p4p monster but trying to say he is skilled is ridiculous imo. Artur is basically just the Light Heavyweight equivalent of Big Bang Zhang.

Which skills did Artur show? Bivol boxed on the back foot and forward. In and out movement, head movement was clean. He landed the cleaner shots and connect percentage. He was faster that Artur. It was very technical. Artur only forward and power punches 🤦‍♂️

I saw beterbiev cutting off the ring beautifully, I saw him setting up his punches, I saw him force bivol where he wants him, I saw him countering, i saw him catching bivol while he's moving...those are all the skills you need to fight a mover...and his power is the neutralizer...if bivol was so skillful like his supporters claimed, why was the fight so close? Not to mention, beterbiev is 39 and recovering from a knee injury lol

I had them at a draw or split decision in Bivol's favor simply because while applying constsnt pressure Artur didn't really get anything done. Artur's cleanest shots came through scrappy exchanges when Bivol staggered him and got too punch hungry and got caught coming in. As far as cutting off the ring. Where? Bivol was either toe to toe exchanging or dancing around the ring, Artur didn't manage to pin him in a corner at all the entire match even in the later rounds when Bivol was the more exhausted fighter. Artur is where he is because he is built different. He has very little skills when you think of anyone else in the top rankings. That being said I like Artur, he's a big brute that terrorizes his opponents. But he ain't skilled at all lmao.
